Other than for plot purposes I really don't understand the why's of a 14 year old running the show. It's been bothering me for days. Todd was the most parental person in this shooting match. Tea PLEADING with a 14 year old not to go with the man who just strangled her. Todd wasn't having anything to do with that noise and Tea tried to stop him. And Dani calling the police and them believing her outright??? I don't know but I can hardly ever get the police to believe me but a 14 year old???

Sure Tea was in the wrong to perpetuate the lies but I think she was just trying to protect Dani. Ross is emotionally manipulating the girl just to get things to go his way and stick it to TnT.

And now that Dani has seen her father arrested you can be she'll be defending him even more fiercely. She's hero worshipping him. All she knows about Tea is that she's kept her from her dad for months w/o a reason. And she knows even less about Todd. When you've been believing something so long it's not easy to belief the opposite even if that is the truth.

I have never seen Todd like this and I floved it!! This was a man that wasn't going to take any chit from anybody. He got it the moment Danielle said she was Tea's and he has marched on since then. I didn't like that they let the cops take Dani's word as law. I would think they would pull aside the child and out of the room and then ask the adults what was going on. I have a feeling her dear old dad, Ross is going to disappoint her big time. The higher up he is the further he has to fall.

And I have a MAJOR problem with Tea saying to Dani, "Don't leave with him..." She was "asking" her underage daughter not to flee the country with a man who is not related to her. HUH????????? Who is running the show here? As much as I love TnT , I'm beginning to feel that Tea is one of the worst mothers of all time. All the lying, getting married to the father of her child without the child present and not one word to the him that he has a kid, and absolutely getting no resepect either!

Oh yeah I HATED how Tea and everyone was standing around letting DANI decide what to do. and it's happened before. Just let her call the shots. Dani running over her mom and everyone - not doing what they say. No control whatsoever. I do believe Ross has had a lot to do with that too, though. Let her do whatever she wants and make Tea out to be the 'mean' parent or 'bad guy' if she tried to discipline her. Like another poster mentioned. Seems very likely.

To be fair this IS Todd's kid. When does Todd ever have any respect for people? Or listen to people? Tea said it herself in another episode that Dani was becoming more and more like Todd. She's the spitting image of her biological father in personality, and maybe that's why the writer's have chosen to portray Tea not as a failure of a mother, but a mother who has a really difficult time keeping control of a Todd Manning teenage daughter. Starr's had her moments too, Dani's just 10x worse.

Ever since Todd was recast with TSJ, i've never excepted nuTodd as Todd. He was radically redrawn to be more suave and sexy and leading man-ish. That is not Todd Manning.

I've always thought of NuTodd as Bizarro Todd or some other character with the same name.

And even though I have some issues about TSJs portrayal of Bizarro Todd I have really come around on him in terms of his acting ability and presence.

He's still NOT Todd to me, but he's good, he's sexy and oh so pretty.

It may be annoying but its probably typical behavior for a child who hero worships a parent to defend them to no end. All she knows from Tea lately is that she's kept her from her father, Ross. And I'm sure there's a fair amount of denial on Dani's part. Learning the only father figure you've idolized is a violent, misogynistic loser, can't be easy to swallow.

Tea did not know that Ross was not Dani's father for 15 years. Watch the scenes again. I totally agree that Tea made a colossal mistake in not telling Ross of Dani's possible paternity and having a DNA test done immediately. However, Tea didn't know Todd was Dani's father for 15 years.

Yeah 15 /16 IS pretty much grown. Starr is only a couple years older than her and she usually acts so much more mature. Dani is acting like a spoiled disrespectful 5 year old not a young woman. i can totally believe that Dani would still take Ross' side. This is the only father she has known for her whole life. I know Tea's her mother, but this is kind of her fault. IMO, Todd nor Tea are thinking about Dani's best interests, only their own. I like Todd, but good lord I would not trust that man to look after a plant, much less raise my child. Yeah Dani's got a smart mouth, but as much as I love Tea, that woman is a hot mess, and much of this she brought on herself.

Oh yeah and Todd is the paragon of stability. I don't for one second think that her marrying Todd had anything to do with her love for her daughter. Othrwise we would have heard about her sooner. Tea has been off chasing Todd's d*** for a year, I sincerely doubt she was thinking of Dani then. Regardless of any of that, nothing leads me to believe that Ross WASN'T anything but a loving father to Dani before Tea decided he wasn't good enough anymore.

I agree. Tea is my favorite OLTL character, and has been since I was (ironically) Dani's age back in 2000-2002, but we can't pretend she isn't to blame in this. Tea is not flawless and definitely not a Mary Sue, nor do I wish to see her made into one. She most certainly realizes she made a colossal mistake at this point, and I think by this week she'll be paying for it big time. I just hope it doesn't completely destroy her spirit. She's been through hell and back over the years with Todd.

Ross may be Dani's father but that doesn't entitle him to custody or rights to her. He was willing to kill her mother and did so without an ounce of remorse. No Tea is not blameless. From my perspective I think the best thing she could have done was tell Dani the truth as soon as she found out the truth herself months ago. Of course the character wasn't on the show then, but Tea could have told her off-camera. No one is completely blameless in this. But the ones I felt the most sympathy for in this whole situation was Tea and Dani (in her better moments that is).

the reason i feel sympathy for tea is bc she has been abandoned by todd more than once yet still loves him. she has also been abused by ross and blair. she obviously loves her daughter & as she had told rachel she was planning to have her family together & tell todd the truth as soon as they were married. in meantime she was protecting dani from unstable influence (ross). tea has a lot of likable traits: loyalty and unconditional love so that helps.

Oh I know Todd has been abusive to Tea as well. Even the newer Todd has beenmany times emotionally and verbally abusive, if not physically. His big mistake is abandoning Tea on that island. If he hadnt done that then he wouldn't have missed out on his daughter. So he is to blame in all of this too certainly. Todd didn't waste any time. I'm kinda glad though since this is now all out in the open. I can't believe that Ross even admitted to hurting Tea and still Dani defends him. Poor Dani. The girl is in for a rude awakening.
