@Thkmra Actually fyi, Beyonce has a wider range than Jennifer Hudson(Jen's is 3.1 Octaves, Beyonce's is 3.5) And the reason Beyonce has Beyonce has better control is because girls like Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera who have naturally big voices don't bother to develop their technique beyond that. They may have great voices, but Beyonce is twice the vocalist they are and probably ever will be in terms of technique, phrasing, and so on.

@Weini18 she's more of a gospel singer. they tend to go more over the top with their vocal techniques. i've heard a lot of jennifer's performances and she has really good vocal control. maybe not so much in this performance, but others were amazing.
they were all good to me. im used to Jennifer's screaming even tho she could learn to control it a bit more but its hard to control such a powerful voice like that. Anika's, coming from broadway, has more control over her voice and its silky smooth. i just love the way she gets up to her C6 effortlessly (i think she has the widest vocal range-my opinion until proven otherwise)! And sometimes i forget Beyonce can sing like this but she held her own. they should all do a song together again

I remember this performance like it was yesterday. I winced through it because they all were doing too much. Trying to out sing each other...embarrassing and pitiful.
The last part was annoying... three women trying hard to go higher and higher, as if vocal range was the most important thing. I just notice that Beyonce (between Jennifer and Anika) seemed to have vanished.

Beyonce has a small voice but her vibrato is so intact that it just keeps improving. Naturally her voice isn't powerful but her technique makes up for it.

But to say the other girls were screaming the song sounds more like a put down than an opinion. anoni is a perfect broadway singer! i didn't kno about her til Dreamgirls and then i did research. and she was perfect for The Princess and the Frog, she brought that Tianna character to life and the songs sounded like another disney Broadway show waiting to happen!

And I just gotta say, Anika's sustained C was so damn good. As a guy, I think i have a good falsetto, and I could barely do that note in my falsetto range. and she did it in her head voice. WTF? AMAZING!!

@Weini18 she's more of a gospel singer. they tend to go more over the top with their vocal techniques. i've heard a lot of jennifer's performances and she has really good vocal control. maybe not so much in this performance, but others were amazing.

they were all good to me. im used to Jennifer's screaming even tho she could learn to control it a bit more but its hard to control such a powerful voice like that. Anika's, coming from broadway, has more control over her voice and its silky smooth. i just love the way she gets up to her C6 effortlessly (i think she has the widest vocal range-my opinion until proven otherwise)! And sometimes i forget Beyonce can sing like this but she held her own. they should all do a song together again

But to say the other girls were screaming the song sounds more like a put down than an opinion. Jennifer and Onika may not be your taste of performers but they can sing, give them their props...that's all I'm saying. Everyone on that stage has talent (period).

@plasticbrook I'm a fan of ALL 3! I've loved Jennifer since AI, and I knew of Anika loooong before any movie roles were offered to her. All three are talented, but my opinion is the same. Beyonce has the "X Factor", so to speak. She knows how to do a lot, without doing too much. I won't dare say Beyonce has the BEST voice of the 3...in my opinion Anika has the BEST voice, but for THIS PARTICULAR performance, Beyonce stood out as the pro. :)
