doesnt the cold air intake void the warranty?

Well, It is a double edge sword. If there is a direct problem that the intake caused then yes it does. The dealer would have to prove that the intake caused the problem for them to not warranty a problem. You can go to 3gwrxDOTcom, it is a forum for 08 WRXs and there is a lot of good info there.

Well sounds like you've already done your homework. Gotta love a protune. Love it or hate it the 08 makes numbers. I happen to love it especially as a current wagon owner the performance mixed with a big dose of usefulness is about impossible to beat.

I want the best balance in my car. I have a large list of mods I have done on 3gwrxDOTcom under coop's wrx in the Car gallery section. I really like the styling of the new wagon and yes the usefulness is great.

I would have gotten engine management before the
mods but I like to be safe and make power in big lumps. Sounds good though.

Oh... I am running a Full Turboback with cold air intake. I am managing it with Cobb AP running a Protune Map. I would certainly agree with you about engine management.
