SO BEWARE OF THIS VACATION SPOT! don't know how they settled things at the dang hotel before their flight left to come back to U.S.???

Black Friday, rugby and football days and St Davids day. Every other weekend is just a normal night out. 10 times better than Swansea these days. Cardiff's great, but avoid the City centre on a Saturday night. The young drunks who morph into herculian type characters wanting to conquer the streets after two pints of Carling are in abundance. Oh, and on a Friday, the valley commandoes invade. Pumped up steroid users who can be found in nightclub toilets comparing physiques. "My pecs are bigger than yours, butt!" Quite amusing really when witnessed. As for the drunken young women, it's not pretty. Thursday is probably the best night out!!

The main 'binge drinking' area of Cardiff City centre is the top end of St Mary Street and The Hayes. And only on Friday and Saturday nights. Most local people avoid these areas - there's lots of better places for a good night out. The binge crowd tend to come down from the valleys. They're not exactly, er, sophisticated.

My advice would be to avoid the larger cities and towns, instead explore the more rural areas of Mid and West Wales. The North of the country I donk know enough to comment on.

yep, I'm technically welsh, and there are some places any normal person would avoid on a friday night, Cardiff is one of them, I dunno where peoples attitudes are at in this country anymore, how they can think getting pissed, fighting, raping/getting raped and vomitting every weekend is "fun", we are basically turning into a braindead nation, and GOD knows what the rest of europe must think, well actually, werent we voted like the rudest nation or something? LOL

ive been to newcastle, blackpool, manchester, birmingham but this place was fuckin mad as fuck. huge streets for clubbing & the gurls are mint.
besides its proven to be the worst place to go clubbin in the u.k lol but during the day its one of the best citys to visit in the u.k to :)

Haha i'm sat ere laughing at all you "perfectionists" being so critical of Cardiff! Does this not happen in any other part of the world then? I've been out a few times in London and Birmingham, Cardiff was a heavenly place compared to the nights i experienced there!
I actually had a fab time in both places ... but those in glass houses and all that!

Cardiff not that bad this is probably a saturday nite out and if you look at all big cities that all look the same on a saturday with drunk people doin the same disgustin things and this the whole of wales and if you think it is then your an idiot.

Cardiff's great, but avoid the City centre on a Saturday night. The young drunks who morph into herculian type characters wanting to conquer the streets after two pints of Carling are in abundance. Oh, and on a Friday, the valley commandoes invade. Pumped up steroid users who can be found in nightclub toilets comparing physiques. "My pecs are bigger than yours, butt!" Quite amusing really when witnessed. As for the drunken young women, it's not pretty. Thursday is probably the best night out!!

The main 'binge drinking' area of Cardiff City centre is the top end of St Mary Street and The Hayes. And only on Friday and Saturday nights. Most local people avoid these areas - there's lots of better places for a good night out. The binge crowd tend to come down from the valleys. They're not exactly, er, sophisticated.
