I'm curious about the demographic for this show. I mean, I can tell it is mostly meant for people who don't like to see two guys kiss, and for those who have a very lax sense of when it's okay to kill someone, but besides that, who watches it in England? What kinds of advertisements play? Soap? I'm just curious.

@sanyrub Don't get me wrong; I'm one of those 7 million! I love this show. It's just interesting to note which shows portray gay relationships in certain ways. I'm sure it has to do with what kind of people are watching.

@axelnelson Of course it does. That is obvious. Emmerdale is supposed to be a show for mature people, not teenagers (bullshit cos I watch what I want but anyway). But what counts is the quality. And Emmerdale slays the rest in my book

@sanyrub Yeah, it's very good. Danny's acting and Marc's acting have really been high points. But "mature people"? In MY book, mature people could handle some intimacy between men, and mature people can also hold some standards in their hearts regarding when one should kill one's lover. Urghhhh! I'm really gonna miss Marc. So, sue me.

@axelnelson I really didn´t meant mature but I can´t find another word in English. Maybe "older" audience than HO. That´s why. But they have used their gay characters for the most important and oustanding storylnes of the last 15 months. So I´m so happy with ED. I mean, cute couples who kiss good and have no talent... thanks but no! Writting and acting has been brilliant so many times... the rest can´t stand a chance

Like, somehow everything will be easy, perfect and better for Aaron now that Jackson's dead. Nothing's ever going to be "easy, happy, perfect and better" for him OR Hazel for quite awhile. The AS ended Jackson's pain, but not for Hazel or Aaron.

So, a little off point but I always enjoy seeing Adam pull up on is ATV. I gotta say the conversations and interactions between Hazel and Aaron have become so emotionally charged and full of subtle undertones. I always thought that Bob and Hazel would be good together. And HOW GREAT did Aaron look holding a child? What a juxtaposing of images. Him with a child, Hazel with Jackson.

@JiminPalmSprings You think this storyline is over? I think it's only begun. Aaron and Hazel are going to be dealing with this for months and months. I think folks who believed Jackson's death would change things were fooling themselves.
