  • You could hear anything in 2:05 , but no ones definetly dont know ,what was Thom thinking there!

  • 2:05 I think he's going to say "Cookie Monster"....

  • 2:05 I hear cook your mom

  • Calls himself CommunistNihilist

    Has ads before his videos

  • @TheHarpoonish see wat u did there

  • @TheHarpoonish are you saying there's a contradiction in there somewhere? I haven't read the bit where Marx said he disagreed with ads before youtube videos. Nihilism is pretty much unrelated to this topic as well, so I really can't think what point you could be making.

  • pretty good song, even if it is rather similar to Paranoid Android.

  • My friend is in the hospital, and he's very sick. This song can relate to it.

"He's not coming back"... "Cook him up" (meaning cremate his body) "Put him in the pot" (put him in his coffin) "Catch the mouse" (the mouse representing the truth that one would have to understand or "catch" that he is not coming back) ...

I know this song is about divorce and cannibalism, but I can't get my mind off of him.. I love radiohead, they're truly great artists, musical genius's. I really love them and Ian.

  • @Vincentskater1 sorry :/

  • There's not many modern bands of Radiohead's "timbre" who can put together songs of such harmonic sophistication. I like to think Zappa would have appreciated this song.

  • how hauntingly beautiful is this song's melody/harmony..

  • 2:05 pokemon

  • @nameless2509 once it is heard, it can never be unheard

  • i think of getting up at 5:30 in the morning to go school when i hear this--it even describes my morning angst with the twisted lyrics.

  • @facecheek For me it reminds me of a sunday night like tonight, and I'm thinking of School and being nervous about whatever lol

  • Never realllly listened to the lyrics until now. Wow.

  • This reminds me of the interlude in Paranoid Android..

  • The three guitar attack at its,um, most beautiful!!

  • If you'd been a dog They would've drowned you at birth Look into my eyes It's the only way you'll know I'm telling the truth So knives out Cook him up Squash his head Put him in the pot I want you to know He's not coming back He's bloated and frozen Still there's no point in letting it go to waste So knives out Catch the mouse Squash his head Put him in the pot
  • I want you to know

    He's not coming back

    Look into my eyes

    I'm not coming back

    So knives out

    Catch the mouse

    Don't look down

    Shove it in your mouth

  • @filmdc

we all just listened to the song and the lyrics are in the description, now, fuck off

  • @ymechaie a little late and redundant baby

  • @filmdc

not at all redundant and it's never too late to point out someones faggotry

  • @ymechaie aww i think you want some attention. consider this me pinching your cheeks. xxoo

  • @filmdc

    lol, fucking retard

  • What a beautiful chord progression,fucking aces

  • AND I meant to add-Ed was born to play the guitar & Thom was certainly born to sing....IMHO at least.

  • @JennnBe jonny owns this song with that riff, the best version has to be when they played this at le resevoir in 2003

  • The guitar gives me chills on this track.....and Thom's voice goes with it so damn WELL. Sometimes, many times, there are no words for what a song can make you feel...

  • @JennnBe except for the words in the song...

  • @0armin0 Not sure exactly what your referring to in reference to my comment - its not always about the words in a song, its a lot of times the tone of the vocals and layers of musical sounds....which can give me chills. The words themselves on this particular song don't give me chills....lol.

  • catch da mouse, squash his head//

  • I really don't see why this is considered Radiohead's worst album. My order is: Kid A, Amnesiac, In Rainbows, Ok Computer, King of Limbs, Hail to the Thief, The Bends, Pablo Honey. Amnesiac is a great album, it has a darker feel to it and expresses more emotion than any other album they have released. Amnesiac, is essentially Kid B. This is a great song off of a GREAT album.

  • Reminds me of the Milgram experiment. The idea that people will obey at the expense of others.

  • I've been listening to all their albums recently for the first time and there's one thing I can tell for sure. A genius will be always a genius and his work will never disappoint you. In this case it's 5 geniuses in one band. So their work MotherFuckin EPIC!

  • What about kid A?

  • Probably my least favorite Radiohead Album, but probably my favorite Radiohead Song. The only ones I can think of that I like more are Karma Police, 2+2=5 (The Lukewarm), Bodysnatchers, and Optimistic. There are like 10 songs tied for first on my list lol

  • why would you dislike this? seriously

  • Knives out for the three 'dislikes' :)

  • @AwesomeCoasters really?? I thought like spinning plates and life in a glasshouse were key tracks to the album...

  • I'm gonna be honest; Amnesiac is my least favorite album. I even like Pablo Honey more. But I'll be damned if this song isn't a masterpiece. Possibly one of Radiohead's best songs. It's just so beautifully dismal.

  • I think this is my favourite song on this album....its so hard to say, maybe its just the one I have playing on repeat over & over for today.....so beautiful, so amazing....

  • best of Amnesiac!

  • dark dark song

  • I think the end of this song is where the album stops to be perfect. Amnesiac Morning Bell is mediocre and then it's all good but nowhere near as inspiring as the first six songs. If the high level of quality would've kept up throughout, the album would've been a 10 in my book.

  • @AwesomeCoasters But I didn't really like Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors. Like Spinning Plates and Life in a Glass House are two of my favorites off the album.

  • yorkes voice on this song is dreamy

  • whenever i listen to this song, it reminds me of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

  • @failureavatar I fucking love you for making that connection.

  • @failureavatar That's not unusual considering Michel Gondry directed the video for this song and Eternal Sunshine.

  • i stilldon't get why radiohead are so great...

maybe i should listen more, but ive already listened to all the albums...

    i guess i'm just not a fan

  • who the fuck dont like this?

fuck you, you´re already dead inside...

  • interesting chord progressions in this one

  • @BDizDaBest Similar to "Paranoid Android", but with a surfer-like "Blow Out" atmosphere to it. A

  • wonderful song

  • Agreed!!! This song is a masterpiece. The band played it over 400 times before they were satisfied enough to recorded.

  • love it first time

  • haunting wonderful piece yet to the pop and rap listeners of the world this is just noise, they say crap like "is it me or does it sound like he's dying?" and "this is crap" Well i'm sorry to say that its pretty clear that a good 90% of pop musicians don't even sing, or make their own music or create crap thats only popular because it follows a perfect formula of dance droning. Music like this almsot opens your mind up to new horizons and just entertain you. They should play this instead of pop

  • @speedybill47 i agree especially the sentens "open your mind on new horizons", my wife disagrees with me and i don't know how can i convince her to listen to this magnifisant music!

  • @speedybill47 You do realize that Radiohead is pop too, right?

  • @NWG92 I'm sorry, but radiohead is not pop, there might be a few songs that are a bit pop, but they are mostly alternatif/rock.

  • @ilikeredandblack Being an alternative rock band doesn't preclude one from being pop. As far as actual music goes (ie. not the manufactured Lady Gaga/blink-182 garbage that plagues the airwaves), Radiohead are about as pop as is humanly possible.

  • @NWG92 man, I'm sorry that you suck at classing music, and you're trying to be all intellectual in what you're saying, but radiohead are not pop at all, stop speaking gibberish and start saying things that makes sense man, I'm not gonna say it again, they're not pop. Kids these days....

  • @ilikeredandblack You might actually be retarded.

  • @NWG92 thx, i like that you called me retarded on a radiohead video.

  • @ilikeredandblack No problem.

  • @ilikeredandblack strictly speaking pop means 'popular music' - and radiohead is therefore more 'pop' than any of that crap on the radio....

  • @ninnyfishbub Well sorry, but pop doesn't mean popular music... the influence of pop is from popular music, but you can make pop even if you're playing in your basement. Don't tell me this song is pop, please.. the other idiot already shut up, so don't start anything again... I bet I can get a lot of people to agree with me. This is pure Alternatif.

  • @ilikeredandblack hey, man, not tryin 2 start a fight!i never said that radiohead was pop meaning the style of music. hell, no. just that the meaning of the world pop music is popular, though that isn't it any more... it's not 'pop'. never. but hey, respect other's opinions if you want them to respect yours.

  • @ilikeredandblack

well but alternative cannot be pure... becouse it is alternative :D

  • I'm just afraid this is the Pink Floyd of my generation. You know, I'll be awestruck with it, but my kids are going to think I'm a weird hippie for liking such weird wailing depressing stuff. :\ I guess it's inevitable... tastes change. I'm happy enough that I like it.

  • @sobeita i've been thinking the same thing. I'll try to show my kids some of their stuff and they'll just be like 'yeaaahh okkkk'

  • @sobeita

The Legendary Pink Dots are the Pink Floyd of our generation, but so few realize this.

  • @comrade33 I'm listening to them now... they're a little peculiar. I see the similarities to Floyd, but it's missing something.

  • @sobeita

You should check out their side project called The Tear Garden. The Last Man to Fly was one of the greatest unknown albums of our time.

  • words fail me. how about we just say..."thanks, radiohead."

  • Tom is the worst of the worst.

That is why i love him.

  • this album is the first i and only i bought

  • Mesmerizing.

  • One of my english teachers was a fan of Radiohead, he had posters all over his classroom wall. In those times I barely knew of Radiohead's existence.

Now I think, "Damn, he had good taste in music!"

  • @PeterOnoLennon One of my english teachers was a fan of Radiohead, he had posters all over his classroom wall. In those times I barely knew of Radiohead's existence.

Now i found out he WAS THOM YORKE

  • @blogattacker Hehe

  • lirycs and melody are the best.

  • Tom you know you are the best!!!!!!!!!!

  • beautiful

  • Waffles.

  • BEAUTY!

  • I think this is my favorite Radiohead song. This or "Where I end and You Begin". Such a fantastic band

  • @renegadefunk

Same here. Most aesthetic songs of them.

  • Reminds me of "Blow Out" from their first album. Has that surf-sound to it.... kinda laid back.

  • guys n e 1 know wat this song is about its about wether or not u accept jesus as your lord and savior :|

  • @forzaazzurri101 Its really about killing a woman.

  • @michael102387 killing a WOMAN? oh, so that's why he keeps saying "Squash HIS head / Put HIM in the pot" :P

  • @michael102387 no its not.

  • igen fasza gitártéma

  • One of the most fluid dream like songs RH has ever made.

  • Epiphany.

  • yes......I love

  • These lyrics makes me think about «We suck young Blood». maybe it's like a part 1&2 canibalism song? :P

  • those are some sick lyrics o.O

  • this song makes me think of a driving along the highway past the woods on a foggy october night. that's what i love about their music. it brings up so much imagery in your mind.

  • It's evocative. That's the word you're looking for. ; )

    And I completely agree.

  • tooooo beautifull

  • masterpiece

  • Yep

  • One of the best classical guitar tributes Radiohead has ever made.
