I didn't know Gerry was from Fort Worth....... he's only (456789 25 - 12) 4 months and 18 days younger than me. we all sound like muppets as we age.. i'm closer to Cookie Monster. show some respect to your elders. anyway, this is an awesome classic.
you're right, Beckly sounds a bit weird here, but the original song on record is awesome....I ALWAYS thought it reminded me of Crosby Stills and Nash's "Our House"
It was Bunnell and NOT Beckley that went back to U.S. for a bit due to illness. I think Gerry's singing is still wonderful and I love their music. I've seen them 'live' somewhat recently and they have been GREAT!
A few months ago when touring here, in Brazil, Beckey had to get back to the US because he was sick. Apparently he had some minor stroke or something like that ´cos he's really singing like and old vietnamese lady that just came to US. He can´t even pronounce some words correctly. I hope he gets better because i´m a huge fan.
What is with Gerry Beckley's voice? It sounds like he inhaled a tank of nitrous oxide before the concert. With most artists you can tell they're getting older and sure, you can hear changes. But this sounds like he was possessed an alien.
These guys in my opinion are like a fine wine better and better...all the time..
