Too bad the writers were themselves victims of the liars they hope to expose. In order to stop viewers from learning the truth, they bash Fox News, which is the only television news outlet where honest reporting is permitted.
Orwell was wrong, the reason that 1984 it is still so well known today is because how much is scares people. Government or corporate control over reality could never reach Orwellian proportion, it is not humanly possible. Human governments are too incompetent, they can't handle how many people pay taxes or how many are here legally. Do you really think they could control your very thoughts next? Its ridiculous, Orwell just though this was were things were headed because of the time he lived in.
FYI: -the jewZionist Bank'ster-mafia which hyjacked our usTreasury and installed their arch-criminal Fed.Reserve, IRS-henchmen, ADL in 1913, have total control of all major publishing & distribution, Pub.Library-sys., -and FCC (-Radio, TV, and increasingly the Internet) !!! Thus until these Jew-agencies are abolished, -you will have a dumbed-down public which is educated in mind-controlling Jew-disinformation...!!!
The scare part is, as the video "freedom from conscience - psychopaths" points out, the people who are able to claw their way to the top of the political and media dominant elite have to have the skills of psychopaths. The problem is, it seems that the public has been conditioned to love the psychopathic personality.
The Top 1% owns the 99% and Washington does their bidding with a limp 2 party system overseeing over 200 MILLION people! America better wake up before we all in up in those entrapment camps.

"What you want in a media system is ostensible diversity that conceals an actual uniformity." - Joseph Goebbels.
Run a search on Liberal Media Mythology: conservatives, even Bill Kristol, admit that it's a conservative construct used to further move the public mind rightward.
America is the most indoctrinated/brainwashed country on the planet. The Big Lie approach here has been grotesquely perfected. The views/opinions of most Americans are far removed from any objective reality. Scary..
I really don't know how the media problem in the USA exactly is, but after viewing the examples here given, i can assure you that in Spain it's even worse!
Who is that fat ass idiot at the end of this crap oh yeah he is with the pigs at the chalk board changing the rules. The same men who made all this happen who made this film are crying about the country they corrupted with there Fabian liberal views how pathetic this film and they all are. Now they see the folly of there work they ask us not to hold them responsible. Well I'm old and do not really care but I do not speak for the young who will not be so kind.
I feel like starting a class on Alternative Media Studies. There are so many important documentaries out there which have rocked my world since graduating someone should step up and get the word out. My favorites are: Zeitgeist, Hidden Discoveries, Nicola Tesla: The Missing Secrets, America: From Freedom to Fascism, The Whole Truth about the Iraq War, The Naked Truth, The Federal Reserve Fraud, Who killed JFK Jr?, What the bleep do we know, Who killed the electric car? and this one.

I once asked my very bright and intelligent roommate who had majored in Journalism why she wasn't working in her field and she said: Because you're told what to write about and the real stories that have the propensity to change humanity are treated as garbage and nonexistant. She said: "it's political."
I challenge someone to find out the true story behind an artillery accident at Fort Drum, NY, in 2002. Two soldiers were killed when shells fell short of a range and exploded over soldiers standing in a chow line. Two junior officers were blamed, but neither were named. But the fault could be found higher up -- a genuine military-industrial cober up.
@bobbysan07 Funny how after Bush, many right wingers suddenly became 'independent'. But you remained who you are.
It's sad - and yet another indication of how successful the effort to stamp out critical thinking in schools has been, that you actually think that Democrats are 'left' and republicans are 'right'.
If you use reality as a measure, the Republican Party is extreme right & fringe libertarian, and the Democratic Party are America's conservative party with a tiny minority of lefties.
@cinesimonj there is no right or left only collectivism from both wings of the same socialist party. It is theater for the public to watch ., For people. like it or not . want to be told what to do and unless some enormous change takes hold they will always want to be told what to do
HATE CRIME: In proper English it would be "hateful crime," in practice it's THOUGHTCRIME, as envisioned in George Orwell's 1948 novel: "Nineteen Eighty-Four," which had been tentatively entitled: "The Last Man in England." In Daytona Beach, NEWSPEAK is thriving. The new police station, which is on rural land (the old place was in junkie town) is the "Law Enforcement Center."
@bobbysan07 I love how you right wingers never actually point out a specific substantive issue within documentaries you don't agree with - you just have a problem with them because you don't like reality.
American democracy is about the worst possible model- it's utterly pathetic, and as open to corruption as communism was - the Bush Admin being the most egregious ever. And no, kiddies, Obama is not even close despite his flaws. Not within a galaxy.
The MMP parliamentary system as they have in New Zealand is THE most representative democracy model currently in use - & it forces people to work together.
Here's hoping Britain go from First Past The Post to MMP - they're pretty close already.
Like the USA, the UK should have no foreign ownership of British media. The UK allows foreign ownership of media. Russians own papers; most local press Gannet - USA.
Sky TV is Tory party biased and US, as is the The Times, Sun, etc
The Tory party election budget was more than Labour and Liberal combined.
The UK needs UK owned & controlled media & fixed election budgets to ensure democracy
Most in the UK are left of centre, 2/3, yet a right-wing party gets in too often. Buying the media helps!
Isn't Utopia at hand? Look Obama and the 'progressive' Congress has brought us great and universal healthcare. It is universal by law and punitive force, just like in the Utopian socialists states. What will they do for us next?
Every day I hear the local military aircraft and helicopters preparing and training for our new and glorious future.
Did anyone really think we had a choice in the last presidential election?
My heart is ill with sorrow because of the blind people and the tyrants.
"Congress has brought us great and universal healthcare. It is universal by law and punitive force"
That is total nonsense. Ask any Briton about the NHS, Frenchman or German. USA figures on healthcare are shameful for such a large wealthy country. A NHS is nothing to do with is any ism, no more than having police force is.
@SovereignBlade "by force" - tee hee - healthcare reform's a conspiracy against freedum, right kiddo?
It's not Universal Healthcare - it's about as far removed from Universal as possible - but hey: you NEED to believe that Obama's a commie, regardless of the fact that you haven't even bothered to look past the likes of Glen Beck's rantings.
The Dem congress is far from progressive. They're moderate right wing.
But hey: your sheltered, ignorant, Fox/Alex Jones paranoia keeps you entertained...
Indeed, as did Hayek when he wrote the Road to Serfdom, because in post-war Britain Keynesianism and Socialism dominated politics right up until 1979.
@ahhGroovymangroovy The rolling in the grave refers to the fact that the people are enthusiastically choosing to know less and therefore be controlled.
Americans get very agitated when you complicate information with facts.
Not only that, about things that he saw happen to an extent during his life.
Have you read his 'Homage to Catalunia'? It a great book about his time in the Spanish civil war,
there he talks about the influence of the party propaganda, the Spanish newspapers and the newspapers in other countries in the perception of what was happening, and to an extent the outcome of the war.
Here is a short essay he wrote later: orwell(dot)ru/library/essays/Spanish_War/english/esw_1
ing in the government, when they steal your money in the Trilions right infront of your nose on TV, then laugh about how your great grandkids will have to pay for it.
The problem is that people don't believe in capitalism, they believe in credit-expansion, welfarism, inflationism, (so do most so-called 'economists' nowadays) corporatism and government involvement in economic affairs. People dislike Robber Barons more than they dislike the actual thieves, in government.
The greatest theft is not inflation. There is an even greater one: the theft of stable banking, taken from us by central-banking whose JOB is to prop up instability.
So true "cometepiace", the people with limited awareness cry out against to abuses and lies of power and wealth and believe giving more control to government will help. They don't realize that the powerful are the puppet masters of the corrupt government and the media are duplicitous cronies in bed with those who are our covert masters. Hopefully as knowledge grows of the esoteric power elites and their agenda more will know the lies within the lies and how we are played for fools.
Translate this documentary into all other major languages and publicise it in the countries of those languages.
The voices of the people who made and who support this documentary will never be heard with the necessary amplification through the American mass medias. If these people want positive change they must begin it outside America, through the mass medias of the world which are not yet corrupted by the people who have done so with American's, because in time they will corrupt them too.
democracy is an ilusion whoever comes to power wealth might rise or fall a few percents a few laws might be passed or cancelled which effect only a part of the population in a very small way so who ever comes to power nothing really changes
Athena, only the people, and in turn individuals over themselves, create a good society. Without the iron hierarchy of capitalism, the bourgeois want for control becomes unobtainable, and fades away in time. If people could be taught to recognize that; to think freely for themselves then I wonder what could be done about the world today.
Anyone who watched any Main stream media during this last election watched the propaganda machine in effect. Fox News was supposed to unfairly attack Obama while the rest of the media gushes over him. the left-right paradigm is a mockery side show for the elites to play for the lower type of man, the mass majority, the herd, us.
Yet the media is CLEARLY 90% dominated by extremely biased liberals. Study after study confirms that again and again. Note the main stream Media's un-hinged hatred of George W. Bush for the past 8 years, and their boot-licking adoration of Obama.
If Sandy Berger had been a Conservative, his theft of top-secret documents would have been a bigger story than Watergate. Because he was a Dem... NO COVERAGE.
Socialism is a great idea "IF" everyone plays by the rules.
Democracy is a great idea "IF" everyone plays by the rules. Democracy also has many guidelines and divisions of power to safeguard the process and our path. It has "successfully" survived longer than any other system.
Now Corporate Elitists, Lobbyists, Corrupt Politicians & special interest groups have Hacked Democracy. I believe our democracy will end.
unfortunately , We live in a Corporate Republic , which began the Transisition towards Fascism in Mid-1968 , reaching It's Zenith in 1994 , and continuing at the Present.
Corporate executives should only care about making money because their job is to make money. What is "evil" to you about that? Why can't people have large companies and provide jobs and sell stuff like the corporate built computer that you are reading this on? Where is the evil or maleficence in a corporation selling things? Your beef is more with the free market. I have no problem with people making money. Nobody is hurting you by doing this. Just the opposite in fact.
Thats true spacecowboynj, well, in the US and the West. Safe jobs with good salary provided from corps.. But where does that money come from? Well, from exploiting other nations around the globe.
You know, people who make your t-shirt and computer in, say, India earn around a dollar a day.
The system is set/made for growing, but it is close to the limits. Unfortunately I belive that if we won't, than our children will see the showdown. I do hope it will be less painful than WW2
No factory worker in China or India has a gun put to their head forcing them to work. In fact, in China people are on waiting lists to get these jobs because it sure beats working in rice patties in the poorer than poor countryside.
Are you being "exploited" because you make far less at whatever company you work for than many others also employed there?
China is better off than ever precisely BECAUSE of what you call exploitation. I regard exploitation as govt blocking progress.
Money doesn't grow on trees macisejt, people work for it. American society has worked hard over the last two centuries to make this a rich country. If large swaths of India did not develop in such a manner, even over thousands of years of history, it's India's fault, not ours. I've worked with many Indians in IT too. I don't see them complaining.
America was invaded by the British, did you know? Called the War of 1812. They even burned the White House down. But we ran them out of here.
The British "invasion" of India only brought modern civilization to India, although one can debate only to the cities, as India is still quite primitive.
In many parts of India deaths from impure water are quite common and 20,000 people living like they have for over 2,000 years can die in a monsoon overnight. Not the fault of the Brits.
I don't want to convert you or anyithing and commenting on youtube is not the place for this kind of discussions, imho.
What I want to point out is you're regarding things from a really different perspective (social, economical), and there is no way to judge these kind of things objectively.
Corporations are harmless business entities run democratically by their shareholders. They supply nations with their stock markets, they supply people with safe jobs, they supply governments with the vast majority of their revenues.
I'm for abolishing corporations though, at least in its current form. It's not a healthy structure. It seems large corporations, where the owners/shareholders have "limited liability", are a danger to society in the long run.
Socialism is great if you agree with everything being imposed on you, that you think the government best decides what's best for you, and you like being dominated, etc., but what's the point of living if you have no say in your life anyway? Depressing. Should help tremendously to be a sadist. To me, socialism implies that government owns people. It's not inherently humane at all. I'm afraid a socialist world government with the current "aristocracy" could mean hell for anyone but zombies.
nah, socialism is like way to communism where is NO government at all. What was in USSR and is in China now, its not communism, its totalitarian state
Is Orwell conservative or liberal? His works seem to oppose the USSR and socialism. However, Wikipedia and other sites claim him to be left winged. Someone explain this man to me?
He was, supposedly, a democratic socialist. Grew up in a bureaucrat family. Worked in the Indian opium agency. Worked in BBC too. Seems he didn't like the mindset on the "inside", and their idea of socialism. Rule by council (Sovjet). Like it would be if the CFR, RIIA, UN etc were running the world, i suspect. Google: george_bio orwellnow
I am an American expat who moved to Canada after graduating college in Oregon. Don't knock socialism until you try it. My family couldn't afford health insurance so for most of my American childhood, I had NO protection. Now my three year-old daughter can get the best of care, anytime of day, with no questions asked. Socialism is the most humane political model in my opinion.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Aww, the media is mad Murdoch is giving a different side than the Dems bullhorn the liberal lamestream media. Fox news must go so there is no compitition on the propaganda spewed by the entire rest of the leftist media. Can't wait for the fairness doctrine to shut down concervative perspective.
Sorry, I just looked at your page. You are 19, why don't you get a job, buy a house, pay taxes, raise some kids. Then, if you have time to see what's happening then you'll understand, Boy.
Adolf Hitler and the Nazis were created and funded by…the Rothschilds. It was they who arranged for Hitler to come to power through the Illuminati secret societies in Germany like the Thule Society and the Vril Society which they created through their German networks; it was the Rothschilds who funded Hitler through the Bank of England and other British and American sources like the Rothschild’s Kuhn, Loeb, bank which also funded the Russian Revolution
@1952YOU1320TUBE1952 --while your information is somewhat correct, unfortunately, your limited knowledge of how St.Hitler had used the jewZionists Rothschild Bank'ster-funds gives you a distorted picture of St.Hitler's intentions. He was struggling against the evils of both the Communism and Capitalism which is a criminal Rothschild jewZionist creation to abuse the naive. Today, the Jew-criminals Rothschild/Rockefeller et'al are in a financial-war to destroy our usConstitution & BoR's...!!!
Respond to this video... FYI: -there is nothing mystical about Geo.Orwell's book- "1984", --as it is a fact that he socialized with these criminal-elite agents of Rothschild/Rockefeller's et'al Jew-Zionists, --and unlike patriot Henry'Ford and Chas.Lindbergh, and St.Hitler, --whom tried to expose these subversives, Orwell simply wrote about the Jews sick-plans to enslave humanity via their zealous control of all Banks internationally, which is finally coming into fruition...!!!
@1952YOU1320TUBE1952 --your malicious statement about jew-Rothschild being related to St.Hitler has been disproven as mere wishful thinking on the part of sensation seeking British authors...
Langer’s information came from the high level Gestapo officer, Hansjurgen Koehler, published in 1940, under the title "Inside the Gestapo". He writes about the investigations into Hitler’s background carried out by the Austrian Chancellor, Dolfuss, in the family files of Hitler.
Is grand mother who was a servant girl for the Rothchilds became with child and returned home
Please can you supply prove these were false claim's,and that the Austrian Police records are wrong
@1952YOU1320TUBE1952 -Jews are reknown for their fraudulent endeavors, Your story is not from any legitimate sources. In Fact, the name of the family that Hitler's grandmother supposedly worked for was the Frankenbergers; --not the Rothschilds. Moreover, Hitler's grandmother was age-42 when she gave birth to Hitler's grandfather Alois; --thus not a "young girl"! For example, just look at the bogus Birth-certificate of our illegal-alien puppet-Pres. B.Obama whom was born in Kenya...!!!
Compassion is stronger than an army, we need to have compassion toward the evil, but we must march in masses and protest the governments corruption and corporate hitlers out to destroy the world.
new world order media pimps, pushers of propaganda. John pilger speaks about this in "the invisible government" he also mentions "operation mass appeal" in the uk which was used to sell the iraq war, now their are 1 million Iraqi's dead!
maby so thereape420. But its basic factual fundementals are the W 5 By all journalists and stringers. Now we dont get to see the follow up investigations as to why ?
The who are before our eyes each time the box turns on,
The what is no longer the event, But the agenda.
Where is where.
When is when.
Why theres the big questions never being asked and followed up in corperate mainstream.
By the time enough people wake up to peacely undo the horrors created by the corporations it will be far too late.
Only if all the people who have awoken band together to form a standing army and forcibly storm the military and government buildings can we find the truth. Only if we attack them and create a 100% transparent government can we punish the corrupt.
But who among us is actually brave enough and strong enough to directly challenge the King? I can only hope for a leader to unify us.
someone said "a man can best express his political opinion through his spending".
If you don't agree with corporations, don't buy their products. Don't go to supermarkets and stuff. Don't use Windows and X-Box. Oil moves the present American government - don't use your car.
But first of all - turn off your TV!
Until you can't do these, no change will take place. The leader's braveness and strength comes from his supporters.
I only watch what I want on the Internet, the only supermarket (or dept. store) I use is Safeway, I use public transportation, and I'm more worried about a evil Google than a evil Windows (software more dangerous than hardware).
"Not consuming" was always a given for me simply because I don't like those people.
Nevertheless TV media, Walmart, Google, and the Oil Companies still thrive because the majority of people have come to depend on the system.
14,000 people watched this, yet more then 9 million people played world of warcraft. it is a shame more people are unwilling to question, research, then make an open minded choice of what they beleave.
sojoyful: A very apt metaphor you've constructed for yourself in your comment: A tsunami of control is coming towards you, and you're focused on the personality of the messenger (M.Moore). Perfect metaphor.
Moore: Here it comes...are you ready? Here it comes...watch out!
sojoyful: No, no, I don't want to look! You're lying to me! You're a fat liberal! Get out of my way you lying fat liberal! I like my government control just fine! Why challenge me to think?! I like my democracy raped!
I was trying to help the guy by giving him a straight off the cuff remark.
That was the purpose.
Your point is correct and obvious. My bias is strong but the point is also made that if you trigger bias in people it shuts down the effort. You see, this is exactly my point to him.
I was not trying to tap around gut reaction I was trying to produce exactly that.
Hello elefankid, I tried to send you a message but I was blocked. First off I'd like to thank you for posting this series, but secondly, I'd like to see if I can purchase the entire video in it's full length. Can you write back to me about this?
Most people prefer to believe their leaders are just and fair even in the face of evidence to the contrary, because once a citizen aknowledges that the government under which they live is lying and corrupt, the citizen has to choose what he or she will do about it. To take action in the face of a corrupt government entails risks of harm to life and loved ones. To choose to do nothing is to surrender one's self-image of standing for principles. Most people do not have the courage to face
You are not wasting your time. You don't know what happened later to those people that didn't wake up immediately. I remember myself from the time when I was asleep and I recall seeing free people and recognizing them as such in some animal subconscious way. And yet at this point I was unable to grasp what they were saying. But the idea that there is something else was sown. You need time.
I'm tired of this corporate conspiritorialism. Of course corporations are competing with the government over power over our lives, but this isn't the work of a deliberate conspiracy; rather it is a systemic problem caused by the fact that news corporations are motivated primarily by profit, which makes actually investigating the news more difficult in a sea of potential sensationalistic stories which would be much more lucrative for them to cover. The incentives run the wrong way in the system.
yet this profit-driven system problem has naturally created this 'monster' of power over the lives of people. it exists, it's there.
but there IS a certain conspirational side to it too. for example, big media outlets financing political candidates to get advantages in return. that has got a very clear name: corruption.
Yet, if this system is not profit-driven, it's government driven, no? If we really had faith in our government, this wouldn't be a problem. But we don't really like giving people directly power, so we do it indirectly by putting corporate giants more in control. But although these giants have some influence, they don't have all the influence...and we just have to be vigilent and not follow along like sheep. But most people just don't care about this and do, that's the real problem here.
Orwell was not against communism only (although that did inspire him mainly), he was against all forms of totalitarianism, or a centralized control of a population. This can come in many varieties, including communism and capitalism. He was in favor of democratic socialism.
I STRONGLY recommend people to watch ALL 11 parts, especially American citizens!
If you want to live in a democratic world, you must watch part 1,7 and 10.
Then you maybe realize that you ain't doing it today and it are going to be worse if you not react on the attempt to controll internet.

I trully weep for the future generations who will have to live in this horrible life of 1984 becoming a reality.

The problem is that people don't believe in capitalism, they believe in credit-expansion, welfarism, inflationism, (so do most so-called 'economists' nowadays) corporatism and government involvement in economic affairs. People dislike Robber Barons more than they dislike the actual thieves, in government.
The greatest theft is not inflation. There is an even greater one: the theft of stable banking, taken from us by central-banking whose JOB is to prop up instability.
Nintendomanwill 2 years ago
So true "cometepiace", the people with limited awareness cry out against to abuses and lies of power and wealth and believe giving more control to government will help. They don't realize that the powerful are the puppet masters of the corrupt government and the media are duplicitous cronies in bed with those who are our covert masters. Hopefully as knowledge grows of the esoteric power elites and their agenda more will know the lies within the lies and how we are played for fools.

The voices of the people who made and who support this documentary will never be heard with the necessary amplification through the American mass medias. If these people want positive change they must begin it outside America, through the mass medias of the world which are not yet corrupted by the people who have done so with American's, because in time they will corrupt them too.

Just the opposite in fact.

macisejt,
No factory worker in China or India has a gun put to their head forcing them to work.
I regard exploitation as govt blocking progress.
spacecowboynj 3 years ago

Corporations are harmless business entities run democratically by their shareholders. They supply nations with their stock markets, they supply people with safe jobs, they supply governments with the vast majority of their revenues.
spacecowboynj 3 years ago

Terrakinetic 3 years ago
someone said "a man can best express his political opinion through his spending".
If you don't agree with corporations, don't buy their products. Don't go to supermarkets and stuff. Don't use Windows and X-Box. Oil moves the present American government - don't use your car.
But first of all - turn off your TV!
Until you can't do these, no change will take place. The leader's braveness and strength comes from his supporters.
macisejt 3 years ago 2
One more thought:
In a consumer society "not to consume" is a form of civil disobedience.
macisejt 3 years ago
I only watch what I want on the Internet, the only supermarket (or dept. store) I use is Safeway, I use public transportation, and I'm more worried about a evil Google than a evil Windows (software more dangerous than hardware).
"Not consuming" was always a given for me simply because I don't like those people.
Nevertheless TV media, Walmart, Google, and the Oil Companies still thrive because the majority of people have come to depend on the system.

But most people just don't care about this and do, that's the real problem here.

ironic isnt it orwell was warning us about the dangers of communism when its capitalism has gained such control

Orwell was not against communism only (although that did inspire him mainly), he was against all forms of totalitarianism, or a centralized control of a population. This can come in many varieties, including communism and capitalism. He was in favor of democratic socialism.
