@bluegrasssingingman Lucky you! that is a great guitar, it´s so hard to get one of those in sweden. And no, i cheated a little bit, i din´t take the neck off. But it looks natural, i sanded the last part by hand, took me hours! I can recommend to put on a zero fret, and also modify the bridge and fix the intonation from good to superb. I love how this guitar sounds, but i don´t like the neck it´s to narrow and thin. Going to invets in a hd28 vintage.
@larseriknilsson Cool you did it like I no doubt would of. The HD- 28 has a small neck. You might not like it. The HD28-V has a V neck. The HD-16 RLSH has a low profile neck. It isn't real small. It just like a V neck, but with out the V point shape. It is a small C shape with a wider finger broad. So it doesn't feel small and cramp your hand. I traded my farther a 1992 HD-28 in mint condition and superb sound. For this HD-16 RLSH. He only had it a week. He purchased it, because I wanted one.
@larseriknilsson I told him I'd trade him,and to purchase it. I don't regret it one bit. Maybe you can get a HD-16 RLSH ordered. Anyways the HD-28V is a great guitar. The D-16 you have sounds great. Good luck and thanks. Best regards back to you. Have a good one.
@hogstify kör med martin sp 12:or. fosfor brons. Men det är inte bara strängarna som gör det, gitarren är moddad, jag har förstorat upp ljudhålet så det är lika som på hd16 lsh(large sound hole), samt nollband. Det blev en enorm skillnad. Men nya strängar hjälper ju.
I have the HD-16 RLSH. I love it I can't ask for a better guitar. Did you take the neck off to cut out the sound hole.
