    Claude

  • Far out arrangement, I really dig!

Love your happy Brazilian music spirit!

    Great guitar playing!

About the zoom I always put something to zoom on where I'm gonna be standing so it will be adjusted. Bravo!

  • Thanks, Boucrate. Always good to get new visitors! And thanks for the tip on the zoom. The camera is ok now. I think the battery was on its last legs.

  • Grande Pablo,

Parece ótimo p/ encerrar o show.

O problema eh fazer as partes individuais nele.

  • Awesome!!! Thanks for posting:)

  • É exatamente assim q me sinto.

  • Swinging all the way through, beautiful parts, second voices, fantastic melodic arrangement, that piano solo reminds of Lenny Andrade, saw her once her in paradiso A'dam and was completely floored by her rhythm-section.this is so energetic and positive, what a Vibe, you're a good arranger Pablo, Vic.

  • Thank you, Victor! I know what you mean about L.Andrade. In some parts of the arrangement I tried to emulate exactly that kind of feeling. At other times I think I was going for Gal Costa's recordings with a big samba orchestra. However, real samba is way more complex than this version. What I did here was I tried to create an *illusion* of samba, as most of the musicians have had little experience playing or singing in that style.

  • Ahh, Pablo -- this is terrific! What a completely fantastic antidote to jettison the soppy qualities and replace it with a rendition which will be a grande finale showstopper! I'm glad we have this mellow version as well, but I'm eager to see the adrenalin from the convergence of musicians and singers! People will be humming this in the parking lot en route to their cars, so I hope for your sake they're producing CDs for sale in the lobby! Congrats, Maestro! ~Terry

  • Thank you, Terry!

I do trust it will all come out very nicely. They're going to produce a non-commercial DVD of this show, so if it does come out well I'll eventually be able to post a video of the actual performance.

  • Fantastic, very, very good. i like this one very much! 5***** Best regards, Frank

P.S. the video quality is no problem for me, I LISTEN (watching is not so important for me)

  • Thank you, Frank! With so many HD videos around, I did regret the quality of mine a little. But the camera is ok now. I think it was just lazy for some days.

  • Beautiful work my friend.*****

  • Thanks, Paul!

  • heya Pablo: when I read the name of the song taught...that's it, he's getting nuts....but I loved it: it is an extremely uplifting arrangement, and I can imagine what it must sound like live with all those instruments...woaw.

    Yeah, don't read that magazine..not a good idea ;)

    Pascal

  • Thanks, Pascal!

Yes, it's been going through rehearsals relatively unscathed and it's starting to sound like I imagined it.
