I'm absolutely TERRORFIED of snakes, but watching these videos has actually given me a.. I can't say fondness, by any means, but an appreciation for them as animals, and not just monsters. It's fascinating to see they each have their own personalities, and quirks. I've seen nearly all of ViperKeepers videos, and look forward to more. Guy really knows his shit. Keep up the good work, Sir.
Viperkeeper. You did not seem concerned that the spitting cobra looked like it was going to ingest a few pieces of substrate when you closed his drawer.
Why not? Doesn't that cause impaction? I am always careful to make sure my snakes don't ingest even little pieces of aspen, let along chunks of bark. Great video!
As usual, I find the "Psycho Ward Tower" to be highly entertaining. I especially love the "Weasel" and the Puff Adder who "has no hope." The young cobras were adorable too!
Hey VK gotta question 4 ya. i dunno if its a dumb 1 or an intelligent one and certainly wouldnt recommend any1 to try this but.....what defense would the snake have if its being disturbed while hes got the mouse half way down its throat. like if you touch the snake, would it just spit the mouse back out n attack or?
@viperkeeper How does the venom glands absorbs the nutrients from food to make more venom without any venom being released inside of the snake's body? Even if they're immune to, wouldn't that make a 'dry bite' impossible if any venom is released inside their body?
Love all the VK vids, been watching for years now, and I look forward to a new one everyweek. The mixed bags ones are the best! Those little equatorial spitting cobras are awesome.
you should do a video that covers your scheduling process.. like, how you keep up with what days each animal should be fed and what not. seems like a handful, and a video covering the process would be really neat! love your videos by the way, been watching for years!
very interesting, i watch all your videos, you've vast knowledge of these snakes...i'll stick to my ball python though :) leave you to more challenging snakes. :)
You have some pretty patterned snakes I currently have 1 snake its a Baird's ratsnake male his name is Charlie I've had him for 4 years and he sometimes just sits with me for an hour or so watching TV with me
@Sociopath33 I bet the snakes you have can't kill you, or if they could they don't know it. It should be painfully obvious from watching these videos that a majority of venomous snakes know they have the power to kill humans, and won't hesitate to use it, no matter how long they are captive...
Viperkeeper I just started watching your show about 2 months ago. I do not keep snakes or any other reptile, and have no aspirations to start. Me and my wife find your show very entertaining and we hope you keep it going. You very obviously love your snakes and you're care and expertise in dealing with them has made us love them too. Thanks!
Thanks for all the comments. For some reason (YouTube problem) it's not letting me approve the comments allowing them to be seen by all. Of course they have no easy way to be contacted, so I can't do much about it. Glad you like the mixed bag.
Do you think UVB lights would have helped prevent the skeletal issues? I've never seen actual evidence of MBD in any snake species, but that guy looks like a possibility.
What species was the 4th snake in I couldn't quite make out what you said, they highly resemble the adder (vipera berus) so I'm guessing something related ?

@viperkeeper Fair enough, I wonder why all of the snake guides tell people to be so careful of it.
