  • your cajon has a nice tune

  • Dude i just bought one of these boxes, and love the thing.Top video :-)

  • looks kinda.... geh.

  • if I may ask where did you get your cajon i really like it and would like to get one of my own

  • I have a poor man's version of a Cajon (I think). I use a djembe, and rest it on top of a snare. It gives it a nice earthy bass resonance, but when I pop higher notes on the rim it also has the snare quality to it. (B/C the resonance of the djembe travels through the snare that it is sitting on)

THAT being said. Is there a Cajon that might have a earthy remnants of a djembe??? Yours is about the closest I've heard to it.

  • that is the exact Cajon I am in the market for, I want it to sound like an actual miniture drum set. Very "Rock" like.

Can anyone suggest a brand or an exact model or even a link to a page were I can buy one online? I am willing to spend roughly £100 (British pounds). maybe just over.

Any help would be much appreciated :) thanks

  • Meinl sucks... get a Schlagwerk Cajon! These are the best. ;-) 2in1 Dual has a great bass!

  • @Drummer545 put you sweaty or a towl inside.. i tune my cajon with some filling of my basdrum..

  • die location ist cool und die musik ist auch gut

  • great!

  • He looks very High. :D

  • It sounds like a nice Cajón but it's really expensive. Many get a good player to make a demo if you want to sell more ?

  • I'm getting mine tomorrow, i'll probably pay 178€ its a Meinl

but need to try it first and then i'll buy XD

  • I started playing a cajon a week ago and it's so addictive!

  • bellisimos!!!

  • it´s a nice version of the cajón...but the original it´s peruvian...

  • how much do these thing cost please answer

  • 150€ in france, for a quite good cajon

  • ive seen one around 100 dollars so im guessing they range in that area

  • a good one's around two, two fifty USD

  • JFGI

  • It depends...go to musicians friend or some music site and look em up...ive seen anywhere from 100-400 dollars

  • 40 in germany

  • sounds exactly like my own cajon lol and looks similiar as well :) nice little vid m8

  • whats brand is your cajon?

  • a Pearl :) yours?

  • A Rockbox

  • Wow, great sound. I like how you added the snare chains. Gives it a much more interesting sound.

  • how do you get that bass sound?

is there a microphone behind the cajon?

  • That's whats special about the design of the Rockbox, it has a well defined bass and an excellent snare sound near the top of the drum.

When playing the bass tone it sounds like a bass drum, likewise the snare is well defined.

You can also custom tune the Rockbox depending on which hand you predominently use to play bass with, Leo is playing bass with the right, the snare is position left/top.

This video is all acoustic, no microphones, filmed with a JVC camera on tripod at North head Manly.

  • @krnsnowman its unique, the center part of it is the bass and the upper part is the snare.

  • This is the coolest sounding cajon I've heard on here - a beautifully convincing snare drum sound.. I really want one. Anyone know if you can buy a RockBox anywhere in the UK?

  • cajonがほしい。。。

  • in shibuya!!!

  • any demos of 1 without guitar strings??

  • hallo can you say me please what the guitar plays???

it's very nice and i'm very happy if someone would give me "song name" "tabs" or something else ...(sry, bad english^^ i come from germany)

  • the chords are: B E D A B E D A E G E G C D A E D A E (all major). you can work out the durations by listening. the D sometimes has a variation of Dsus2. Hope that helps!

  • he was asking for the name of the song not the notes

  • or tabs

  • if you know anything about music, asuming you dont, he is just playing a chord progression, he isnt playing a song he is just playing chords in a cool rythym and the dude on the cajon is just jamming along

  • what the diference with the original Cajon?

  • Unique timbers, patented snare system.... plus they are all individually hand crafted

  • what kind of cajon is that?

  • STM Rockbox

  • the cajon is to peru with 300 years of age-old.

  • kind like disco music?

  • I'm in love

  • I don't think a table could make all those different sounds.

  • wow! u're realy good man! u r awesome .. ;)

  • What you're doing is great! I've been doing it for a couple of years in the UK after our "rock" band decided to "turn it down or turn it in". Since then we have never looked back. The interest at gigs in "the big fella banging on the box thing" is astounding. We are inundated at the end of the set with questions about the cojon and people wanting to have a go. If that encourages people to listen or play music then all power to it. Keep on man!Regards...

  • Great to hear you playing along with an acoustic guitar. I completely get the point of your style and the Rockbox, it's a godsend to acoustic musicians playing in situations where a full drumkit wouldn't fit. Sure, the Peruvian geniuses are masters of the Cajon, just as Segovia mastered the Spanish guitar, but that doesn't mean other people shouldn't play these beautiful instruments in their own styles.
