  • @MissYummyGummy . Im no expert. I just let them grow out. Good luck to ya.

  • lovely potted plants you have :) I have a south facing porch that is very hot. I have been having some problems growing past few years mainly with pests. Can I ask what kind of planting soil you use? Do you use any kind of pesticides? I want to grow more vegetables but I am having such a hard time growing my herbs and morning glory I don't dare too. Thanks :)

  • @MsStarburstLuver ....You can try fertilizing them with any type of fertilizer. Just dont over fertilize them or it will burn them up. Good luck.

  • I buy the plants already grown in pots from the local store and use good bagged dirt and fertilize.

  • You always did have a green thumb. I have strawberrys in a ceramic planter that has holes in sides of it. We put strawberry plants in it and they are blooming and growing strawberrys in them. This is my first time growing them. We used some sort of organic, rich soil in it.

  • How do you get your strawberry plants to flower and fruit? My won't flower. It doesn't even have bud.

  • You can try using a garden fertilizer.

  • Can strawberry plants survive through the winter?

  • Well, I live in Alaska so growing strawberries outside is not possible.

I just buy new ones every year from the local greenhouse.

They may survive outside in places where it is warm all the time...even in winter.

  • Nice strawberries. Do you grow citrus oranges, lemons and stuff? Have you grown herbs?

  • Hi, Thanks for commenting on my video.

I live in Alaska so oranges and lemons wouldn't do well here. I have grown chives outside every year.

We have a friend in Alaska that has grown many herbs outside also.

  • YUMMY! For sure. I luv strawberries

  • my strawberries are in a hanging pot and i only got a little fruit this year and the plant just keeps growing longer...and no fruit....should i prune it????

  • Sounds like you need to use some sort of fertilizer that helps with flowering. I use Miracle grow for tomatoes. Works good on any fruit plant. Give that a try.

  • thanks...

  • I am sure you can root runners without leaving them attached to the plant. Other plants will root cuttings so why not strawberries. Have you tried rooting the runners and cutting them off imediately

  • Hi, thanks for commenting.

I do have some runners on a couple of the plants in the video you saw.

I have never tried rooting a cutting.

I should try that before the weather gets cold.

Thanks for the great idea !
