  • oh and 4chan is for fags also

  • reddit and /b/ and fark and all that garbage..... are garbage.

  • At a few points, Karpov had the option of playing Qh4. Would that have been a good move? He would win the h7 pawn, weaken the squares around black's king and have good attacking play.

  • @VandeputteThomas Nah... Because white queen has no follow up attack is out of play.. also queen was defending c2.

  • G5!!!!

  • Kasparov was trained in the new chess and was great at making the best move in the positions of his era.. its all about memorization being able to calculate for the best solutions, Kasparov is busted, he cant beat the ones who are now up to date with the new chess, so Kasparov you been busted... Fischer won the race first, Fischer open the door to the chess hevens, Fischer is now home.

  • @royallen1979 Stop fantasizing about Fischer you sick fuck

  • Dude Get it right! Bobby Fischer is the Greatest Chess player, he won the race 1st, Fischer Open the gates of hidden secret to the new chess! Fischer change chess he proved he was the greatest! the new chess is like just like what Fischer did but different variation, Fischer is the greatest ever the 1st Kasparov so on and so on Fischer Claim the title King!!!! the Fischer E4 pawn push, So all you Hatters out there stop hatting Fischer is the greatest ever, Kasparov had no real competition

  • @royallen1979 there is no real "greatest chess player of all time" its just peoples opinion on how they played and not everything today is how fischer played many other great players formed chess like karpov panno and a lot more and Kasparov is a great chess playerand would definitly put up a stiff competition

  • best move ever?? Pffft. Hardly, it was a nice idea but that's it - Rxd4 against Topalov was probably his best.

  • I think you've gone wrong somewhere with this video. B takes G6 at 5:33 is not a possible move.

  • @TheCrom1983 Look up "En Passant" pawn capturing. It is in fact legal for a pawn on the fifth file to take a pawn that moves up two spaces from it's initial position. It's the only real big rule some people overlook beyond castling.

  • @Jdietz43 You learn something new every day, cheers for that.

  • @TheCrom1983 Its a legal chess move called "en passant", google it

  • @TheCrom1983 yes it is

  • @TheCrom1983 It's called En Passant. Look it up on wikipedia. When you have a pawn on the 6th rank as white or 3rd rank as black and your opponent moves their pawn on an adjacent file two spaces forward, you have the option of taking that pawn with your pawn as if it had only moved one space forward, but only on the move immediately after the initial pawn push.

  • @TheCrom1983 It is most definitely a possible move...look up En passant on Wikipedia

  • @TheCrom1983 Dude, its possible and its called "En Passant", cuz by the rules when the pawn promotes to the 5th square cross-passing the opponent's field it can then capture any double advanced pawn (F5 3:37 - G6 5:33). All other interim moves were just Sam's unplayed and unvaild possible projections of the game.

  • @TheCrom1983

    2 upvotes.. scary

  • @then33k4 That just goes to show that there are some people out there who are complete chess amateurs like me who are starting out and learning new things!

  • @then33k4 reddit faggot candy ass

  • @Vince13192

oh look.. somebody got banned from /b/ again

  • @then33k4 lol, go fuck ur mom with a downvote, candyass pansy cunt

  • @Vince13192

    u mad bro ?

  • the rook sacrifice against topalov was the best move ...

  • @mjamesification yep 24. Rxd4 was maybe the best OTB move. but I loved fischers Be6 against bryne.

  • 3w.diegoriedemann.cl

  • schach-brett.de

  • Kasparov sucks...I've played dozens of moves that were better than this

  • i dunno about the great move of all time, but its one of his most well known due to the many "mysterious" rook moves

  • kasparov himself said f5 was not a good move, you can see it in My story, it's complete on youtube

  • 6666 views. coincidense?

  • i completely lost the game when he went on the massive exchange tangent but that's okay because it's well explained

  • Kasparov best moves

  • the commentator is a douchebag. the game looks interesting though. I'd really like to know the commentator's qualifications to judge karpov's position as stupid.

  • @catalinaguerrero It shows his name at the beginning, and he also announces it. IM Sam Shankland, now a GM, and one of the best players in America.

  • For 20 years? He lost to Kramnik in 2000. That's 15 years. And it was in the organization of his own making. He was a FIDE champion for 8 years. Karpov was for 16 (1975 to 1985 and 1993 to 1999). Ergo, Karpov is two times better! :)

  • @dragmio Actually Kasparov shared the title with Karpov from 1993 - 1999 as well so if you count those years for Karpov.. you cant leave Kasparov out. so kasparov 1985 - 1993 and 1993 - 2000 adds up to 15 years and like you said karpov adds up to 16 years. so not quite two times better :P

  • @dragmio

Kasparov was world number 1 for 20 years, has the highest elo rating of all time, (2851), and beat Karpov 39 to 25...

In a nutshell, he shits on Karpov.

He also has a plus score against Kramnik

  • @MrGunwitch

As an aside, I love Karpov who was the 2nd greatest player of all time...

  • can´t you somehow insert a sign or something when making fictional moves? this would make everything a lot less confusing.

  • lol the most impressing chessfeat is that bobby fisher used 5 moves to win a pawn in an open position without fear against strongest player besides him.... just be number 1 for 20 years is nothing against bobby

  • The most important principle by which one should be guided in the middlegame is the principle of harmonious action of the pieces. A free position with a loose arrangement of the pieces, which cannot be brought to harmonize with each other in the foreseeable future, is a bad position. In the full judgment of a position, the strength, the maneuvering capability and the harmonious interaction of the pieces must be considered. – Jose Raul Capablanca
