What sprocket setup did you have on the bike? currently ive got a 13t front sprocket on it but feels like it could do with a 14t, not sure.

@CORNABY242 Yes I did run it in restricted, then after my wreck (2000 miles), I put the performance pipe on, reason: I wanted to go faster :)

ive had a derestriced aprilia rs50 for 8 months now , theyre VERY unreliable bikes , theyre very fast , which is always fun , but honestly, when youre on the side of the road in the pouring rain , youle wish youde bought a scooter. And before anyone says it was a bodge job , i got it derestricted by an aprilia dealer, so basicly theyre fun , fast bikes , but belive me, theyle let you down after a couple of months...

iv had to take the bike to peices, and get a whole new engine... these bikes have MANY problems, some costly... but if u go to the AF1 forum site (if u have one) they will basicly help u DIY fix ur bike no matter what it is :)

i got same 09 plate, i came off cost me abit 280 for pannel then i had to buy indicator & gear lever and spray up the back bit cuz i cudnt afford a new 1, not quite done yet but should b back in good nic soon so i can sell it

Wow I went to my dealership and had to wait 2 months!!! for a panel! I low sided my current bike, DRZ, a few months ago and had to buy a radiator panel took two days from suzuki dealership! Aprilia have crap aftersales service, same goes for italian cars

I don't know anything about that as I have never been pull over (touch wood). I've heard you can get cautioned and fined for it and maybe points.

@chrisdckm If they know what there looking for on a rs (ie, the washer between the expansion chamber and the engine(this is the restrictor) removed, then yeh...but i doubt theres many cops out there that know.

also these bikes are restricted to like 32mph? so if ur caught doing over 33, ur fucked :P

usually the cops dont give a shit tho. its more if u have illegal engines,exhausts etc.

Get an RS easy to tune my mate tuned his and he got 80 mph out of it. (on a flat!)

Yes any bike is expensive to tune, I'm currently tuning a Suzuki DRZ400SM and so far its costed £800+. It's cheap to tax and insure.
