What kind of SD card are you using? I'm using a class 4 card for this camera and it records in 1080/60p but don't you need Class 6 for that? (at least)
I just got mine a couple days ago and I'm finding that at wide zoom focusing around 2 meters the image is very soft. When I zoom in (all locked down on a tripod, btw) it gets nice and sharp. I know it's common for lenses to be softer wide, but this is really terrible looking. Have you noticed this? Your video looks nice and sharp so I'm wondering if I got a bad sample...
@TeamSwatGameplay sadly, there is no input for an external microphone. However, the internal mic is pretty decent. It's always been able to get the job done.
@tommysandwitch I never use the camera to take pictures, but I just tried it out, and the pictures come out fine. If your hand is a bit shaky, the picture will still be clear. However, if you are walking while trying to take a picture, it comes out blury
@DevinmagicTV The camera has no input for a microphone, so it relies on the built in ones. They are really good and pick up the sound great. The only bad thing is that since it is a built in microphone, it picks up the hum of the camera. However, the camera hum is barely noticable. If your going to use it to make movies, your most likely going to have music in the background (you wont hear the hum at all) If its for home movies, the surrounding sounds will cancel it out.
@DevinmagicTV (Sorry, ran out of room on the last message =P ) All in all, it is a great camera, definitely worth the price. Like I said before, there is the camera hum, but its barely noticeable. Any camera with an internal mic is going to get pick this up. The sound is very crisp and clear, as far as sound quality goes. I hope this helped =)
hi! thanks for the videos. I want to get this cam but what do you thing of the autofocus? i've heard many bad reviews about it being too slow... is it a big problem for you, for the video shooting?
This is really a great camcorder ,I got mine from amazon ,the down side is , there are no editing software that can handle 60 fps full Hd . 8-( , and if your computer is old it may not handle the videos really well.
Ok..can someone help me out? i have a Sanyo Xacti HD camera, and im trying to edit the clips on it (i am using adobe premiere CS4) and when i convert them into AVI files, and proceed to edit, there is no sound! can someone help me on this? Thanks.
@sk8remz123 Are you converting the files before you edit in Premiere? If so, you dont have to convert them. The Sanyo Xacti formats the video in a AVH/H.264 MPEG, which Premiere can handle. You just need to set the project to the right preset. As far as the no sound goes, when converting them, for AVI's i think theres a box you need to check that says sound, so it adds the sound as well. Let me know if any of this helps. Contact me if you have any further questions.

@NYRanimaciones I haven't had any problems with the auto focus yet, but so far, I've always had my camera on a tripod (except for this video). I did notice that for close ups, it doesn't focus (like at 2:22) However, there's the macro feature for that. Let me know if this help =)
The zoom works very well. It has an image stabalizer so when you zoom in it wont be all shakey, but if you have it on a tripod you wont have to worry about it. As far as image quality goes, it is very good. You cant really tell from this vidoe but the image quality is very clear, even when zoomed in at max. This was filmed in 1080p which my computer could barely handle, so the image quality got distorted a little, but I usually film in 720 which has excellent quality =)
its an Acer Aspire 6930 with an intel Centrino 2 processor. It runs fast enough to edit full HD videos, the only problem is finding a program that can support it, so for now, I shoot my other movies in 720p
That's too bad. Could you also tell me if it has a microphone input on it as well, sorry for all the questions! I just had a baby and am needing a nice camcorder.
sadly there is no microphone jack, but there are 2 microphones on the front of the camera (one on the left and one on the right) that pick up sound really well
Oh, and by the way, all though 60 fps is hard to edit, there is an option for 30 fps with is editable on my computer and is still good. They also have 720p settings
@domsen149 its not hard, its just because of my laptop. 60 fps is at 1080p, which is to much for my laptop to handle. If you're going to edit 1080p 60 fps, I recommend using a computer.
@domsen149 I love this camera. It was exactly what i was looking for. My laptop doesn't have a fire wire port so I needed one with a memory card. Also, I wanted one that was HD, which this one is. My uncle is a professional cameraman, so he helped me pick out this camera. Its really good, and for a good price too. The only bad thing about it is that there is no microphone jack, but the built in mics are good. It also doesnt do to well in low light, but thats how most cameras are.
Dude... Just saying, you sound just like me!!!

@snoopyalien24 yes. The video camera also acts as an 8 mega-pixel camera. You aren't able to take snapshots while recording though.
