Thanks... I'm glad you enjoy them. Rowan & Martin's Laugh In was a huge hit in the UK back in the late 1960s'. Colour (color) TV began here in mid 1967 in 625 lines PAL. At the time very few BBC studios were colour capable so we got to see these fabulous imports from across the 'pond'. The 525 line NTSC conversions were very good.
This is from the 25th Anniversary Special. I taped it but, as I was unprepared for it to come on, I grabbed an old tape that had been taped over many times. As a result, it is now nearly unwatchable. Thanks for putting this up.
The best parts of this show were when people like John Wayne, George Raft and Johnny Carson would just walk on unannounced. I believe that Peter Sellers was on this particular episode to promote the film "There's A Girl In My Soup" which co-starred Goldie Hawn.
omg i love those 3 girls who where on laugh goldie hawn and she is dum as me but i am kind of dum but not that dum so any ways joann worley and ruth buzzy
are so funny heres my favrtio word from laugh-in SOCK TO ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The cricket explanation completely reminded me of the Family Guy episode where the English men bought the bar and one of them tried to explain cricket to Peter.
In the sketch where Peter Sellers tries to explain the game of cricket to Goldie Hawn, all he really needs to say is that it's like baseball on Thorazine.
That's a very good question. I remember watching this when it was on Nick at Nite and thought it was funny then. Now I think it's hilarious. I hope it does come out on DVD soon.
oh, years and years ago - practically when N@N first started. It was on around 1987 and they took it off about 1990, back when SCTV and SNL (first thru fifth season) would be on in reruns.
i'm 26 and know that this is real t.v.!
