thanks for posting this. the Juneau corse is my favorite and the one i learned to play on. all other AK cores seem to open and clear to me now. hah hole 8 is one of my favorites with the rope swing right next to it.
@kellyakt I doubt that I will ever love any course as much as this one. I have since relocated to Soldotna, and the course here is so... open. It's all fun but there is something about dodging trees I really miss.
Yeah dis golf park!!! I am from Oregon and we got some tree lined courses, this one takes the prize. I look forward to it being my home course for the next few years.
I have never seen a course with THAT many trees! I believe I would hit every single tree on the way to the basket. I used to play disc golf a lot, it is a great way of getting exercise and fresh air but I stopped out of frustration some years ago when I realized I hadnt improved anything over six years. I thought about playing a couple of weeks ago but I couldnt find any of my discs, except the "putter".
There are a few holes that are open, but most are not. The going joke is that you need to be more of a pinball wizard than a disc golf player to succeed on this course. Even so, I have seen one of my buddies finish off at 6 under (all holes are 3 par). I am nowhere near that good, my best game was 1 over, and that was playing doubles. Alone my best is 5 over (and I am damn proud of that!)

Wow, that looks like fun, but we would prolly have to watch for snakes down here in Louisiana :)

Hey, where at in Louisiana? I did my MS research at ULL, so we (family and I) were in SW La for two years.
We don't have snakes, although we have encountered fresh bear sign on more than one occasion.

I'm currently in Baton Rouge, but my mom side of the family almost all went to UL.
