No my parents are not rich.  Most of this comes from college money that my grandma left me when she died. My dad let me use some of it to buy silver and now I work around the house and for neibors and try to buy 4 or 5 ounces a month. And dad does buy me some silver. My older sister spends all of her money on junk.

Evan - Just to set you straight.... a 10oz bar is worth just over 300 not 3,000. And yes, This is his collection. He has watched his father collect silver his entire life and my wife and I have allowed him to use some of his college funds for silver collecting. I have no doubt that his collecting physical silver will out perform any bank account out there.

He just happens to absolutely love educating himself in the world of silver. He embraces it and enjoys learning more and more about it. With money markets, cd;s and the stock market not doing well in this economy, we gave him the choice to start investing in physical silver and gold. Obviously it was a great decision as he has profited greatly and is also getting a fantastic education at the same time.
