• I can't understand why the audience laugh....it's so funny?! <.<

  • SHUT UP AUDIENCE

  • @TheBeefyWizard35 I'm usually the one who defends the audience, but after hearing how clear it sounds on their cd, I'm starting to side with the "shut up" group. Haha.

  • Jajaja excelente! jajaja

  • Great performance!

  • Aww they tried

  • One of the funniest things I have seen in a long time! Thanks for making my day!

  • does anyone know what they said in 1.43mins?

  • @twinsinblue "We've got lions in Kenya."

  • @twinsinblue the first time they say "We got lions in Kenya" and the second time they say: "There's no lions in Norway"... at least I think so :)

  • lol I love the lyrics they throw into the accompaniment parts :) whoever is writing their arrangements is great in general, mad props to you. And I do arrangements, so I know haha.

  • you guys are so funny and talented !!

  • i actually think its better with peoples' laughter in the background. shows that they love the performance and adds onto the funniness of their performance

  • Awesome!

  • that was great!! but u missed the best song... hakuna matata. ... then it would have been perfect.

  • this is awesome.

  • hey audience shut the fuck up

  • what year's octet was this?

  • @RichyUK86 '05

  • the audience reminds me of Howler Monkeys

  • worst audience ever!!!

  • love the reference to that one song from that flash video "Welcome to Kenya was got lions" XD

  • There's only one thing i wonder about: why the FUCKING audience can't help screaming like FUCKING eagles and just let them sing? This is so annoying.

  • hahaha LMBO

  • Wats up with all the laughs?? Nobody is laughing! But, BTW this is so awsome!!!

  • I really wished they had included "He Lives in You."

  • it`s not about the tune of the singing ! it`s about funny or not ! and THIS IS REALLY FUNNY and Awesome ! SO enjoy the show or STFU !

  • interesting performance. Congratulations:)

  • bit out of tune guys...... mainly sharp in spots sorry not very good

  • it really wasn't that spectacular.. On The Rocks ftw

  • why can't you americans just shut the fuck up and listen to the fucking singing... homos

  • @blinkmdg this is the kind of reaction acapella performers try to get from their audience, there is an element of humor and casual-ness (lol is that a word?) at these kinds of concerts. the people are supposed to laugh...just fyi.

  • @yishbot yeah in your redneck trailer-trash mud holes. In the rest of the civilized world we actually listen to the song instead of mindlessly hooting during it, ruining any chance for a normal person to enjoy the singing. If that's what your acapella groups strive for, then they're probably trying to hide their talentless performances by the droning of a crowd.

  • @blinkmdg Its a casual, fun college acapella concert. Sometimes people laugh and are rowdy, and for some songs they aren't so raucous. The performers try to be funny on purpose to get laughs, could you imagine if a comic was standing telling jokes and the audience was entirely silent?

  • @blinkmdg "shut the fuck up" "redneck trailer-trash mud holes" and other things you said were rude.

Yes, their purpose in putting on a song like this is to give the audience a good time and make them laugh, much in the way a stand up comic.

Maybe you think the audience is getting psyched up for no reason, but that might be because you are missing the jokes because you aren't as familiar with "The Lion King" and how this would be funny to a generation that it is such an icon to.

  • @blinkmdg Civilized people, no matter where they're from, don't go cursing and insulting others using terrible generalizations while hiding behind internet anonymity. I would imagine that they don't go around cursing or insulting others at all. If anything, you generalizing all Americans in such a way shows your own ignorance. But thats okay, I won't attribute that to you being Sri Lankan, its probably just because you're hateful.

No need to be so rude, i was explaining why something is.

  • loool ~/\~

  • whatever happened to Hakuna Matata?!! lol.. it was pretty entertaining!

  • @rockmyworldmichael it's not that he can't sing, he sings very well, its just that what he was singing in the beginning was a little bit out of his range

  • Incredible!!

  • Is the sheet music for this arrangement availble anywhere?

  • geweldig!!

  • Gettin some..gettin gettin some.

  • "Aint no mountain, NOOO WAAY"

    LMFAO. I love these guys!

  • YOU GUYS NEED TO GET ON ITUNES!

  • can u people all just shut up and let them do their thing...

  • Did you compose this??!!

  • The tall blonde(?) glasses guy on 0:26 he a REALLY nice voice :D

  • 65 people have not seen The Lion King.. Poor people

  • sombody kill the audience :(

  • @inrodas I actually like this kind of audience. It just proves to show that they are listening and still with you.

  • I kinda wish we could have seen it without all the laughing. Half the time the audience is cracking up and you can't hear them

  • The first soloist is super talented! Actually all of you are but the first one's voice is just plain sexy! ♥

  • 65 people can't feel the love tonite

  • You can see none of them have ever watched Lion King, since they're singing Elton John's Can You Feel The Love Tonight instead of the Lion King version. Nevertheless, they're great :D

  • I wish the audience would shut up so you could actually hear them sing..

  • 01:52 No lions in Norway... TT^TT

  • "Can you feel it?" "What?" "It's coming this way!" "Who?" "Is it Elton John?"

    "Noooo..."

    HILARIOUS!

  • They didn't quite pronounce it right. the actual Africaans spellings are as follows:

    Nants inguemnia bagiti baba

    Sithi uhumn inguemnia(x2)

Sithi nobiq' a na baba (x5)

  • hey can you guys point me to where i can find the arrangement of this... thinking of teaching my acapella group

  • Epic!!!

  • lol the guy that sings lead in 'can you feel the love tonight' sounds like rick astley xDD

  • @KrystenJanice

and looks like Rick Astley too

  • To the 62, you suck!! Go troll somewhere else!

    These guys are awesome :)

  • How it's laid to rest... *silence* ...GUYS!... *continue singing*

    Omg, lmao! xD

  • JPCA07 my msn in profile! UC Men's Octet - Lion King Medley

  • I LOVE the audience! This is exactly how watching a capella should be... FUN!

    Where's the LOVE IT button?...

  • Love It

  • Audience fail...

  • Love the Can You Feel the Love Tonight soloist....not only because he has a wonderful voice, but he's got such a dramatic flair to his performance! Bravo! Five stars!

  • So. friggin. pro

  • i wish these guys would sing this in a room alone so we, internet people, could here it well.

i mean im laughing too but i just want to here them sing, and the audience makes it kinda hard to do that.

  • okay really its not THAT funny why is audience doing so much??

  • It would be perfect without this audience ... I know that people were enjoying, but they are very noisy! But I loved the video! Do you boys sing extremely beautiful ! xD

  • the uc mens octet could take sing off any time

  • ROFL XD "can you feel the love tonight?" "yes we can!" -.- "was i talking to you?"

    NICE xD

  • yea fuk yea wanted to hear these guys voices not the sissys in the audience

  • marry me?

  • NO faces? fucking aliens :O

  • is this a joke? coz everyones laughing and i dont get whats funny :L its good i think... oh wait i did see a funny bit

  • @xxxRosexxx2 The Audience was probably comprised of students from the school and their friends and family. In other words, most of the people in the audience probably knew the performers. If you saw someone you knew up there doing that, you'd probably laugh too. ;)

  • is this a joke? coz everyones laughing and i dont get whats funny :L its good i think...

  • @rockmyworldmichael hes not singing at 0:15 lol

  • @rockmyworldmichael that's just rude.

  • @rockmyworldmichael *shrug*

  • @rockmyworldmichael Oh, ok. That makes sense since he is singing in an octet..

  • @rockmyworldmichael no he can sing... its just the arrangement

  • This was terrific, and so funny. I would love to have been there! Thanks!

  • The first soloist did fine in my opinion :P I gotta say, I personally think the men's octet back then is better than they seem to be now, from the videos I have seen. These guys just had a sense of taste and style- you need more than good voices for a good group. Great job!

  • The first soloist coulda been better

  • i think the audience made it that much funnier

    i love this<3

  • that's given me goosebumps....

  • The soloist from 3:51 sounds so much like Josh Groban...

    Ver nice!!! <3

  • Comment removed

  • the audience is reallllly annoying. do a studio recording

  • Sounds great. good job guys.

  • I think I just fell in love with the 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight'..."How it's laid to rest...GUYS!" :D

  • I think the Can You Feel the Love Tonight soloist is the best, but everyone else is still great

  • I fucking LOVE that you went with the broadway version, yeeees.

Also, I do not hate the audience because if I was watching this live, I'd have the same reaction (Hell, I'm at home and I'm still like YEAH) You guys have some great stuff, singing and dancing included. Hell to the yeah.

  • more like lion kng medley parody haha

  • baha at like 1:26 you can see that one guy push the other to remind him to sway

    this is soo sick

lion king is my fave <3

  • Yes We Can FTW

  • Could the crowd please shut the FUCK UP!!!!

  • @SlowlyJordison amen

  • the guy that sang "Can you feel the love tonight" have the most gorgeous voice ever <3

  • The audience know when to be quiet, but the applause at the end of each song is always top notch.

  • THAT WAS SICKKK! LOL

  • That gave me chill bumps haha!! That was pretty dang good!

  • XD "Can you feel the love tonight?" (Yes we can!)

  • Can you feel the love tonight was probably the most well done, in terms of theatrics. Circle of life won in the musicality department.

  • "And can you feel the love tonight?" (Yes we can!)

  • Ok I have got to favorite that! It's awsome

  • THIS IS REALLY AWESOME

  • wow, one of a kind presentation. Congrats guys... fr. Philippines

  • I agree.. the girls in the audience were squilling, giggling and laughing waaaaaay too much.... But that's what young/old girls do....... . give the little girls "mellow out pills"..... I would say, "play it back" for them to hear themselves.....but I feel they enjoy hearing their "Girly Noise"..... and this is sad ... Lack of self control? Or is it simply, they don't care?

  • Totally EPIC!

  • "Can you feel the love tonight?"

    "YES WE CAAAAAAN~!"

The Most Epic Thing EVER. 8D

  • @EnzanIjuuin

    wow i like you guys

    fun here from

    philippines

    more video plss

  • @EnzanIjuuin "Was i talking to you?"

    "Oh..."

    i love these guys

  • I'm actually surprised to hear the negative comments about the audience, it's pretty awesome to hear people enjoy it like I did. Dude, this is hilarious, not to mention awesome.

  • @nimechan I think the reason people 'hate' the audience is because every time they make a noise, the performers get completely drown out

  • no hakuna matata?

  • amazing fantastic brilliant awesome

  • yea we all hate the audience !

    thumps up if u agree

  • this is so funny!!! i love it!!!!

  • These guys are brilliant. They should be encouraged to take some proper footage of themselves at thier concerts so thier live audience and thier fans across the world through Youtube can enjoy it alike. Brilliant work boys. Lovin' it.

  • amazing!!! I love those things

  • i wish the crown would stfu

  • Honestly I don't see whats so funny its awesome though

  • @DDCheree Imagine watching these guys live, especially if you know some of them.

  • @DDCheree if you listen closely to the guys in the back round you would see whats funny

  • I heart whomever sang Can you Feel the Love Tonight! :)

  • I just realized then when they were doing "The Lion Sleeps Tonight", one of the guys are saying hakuna matata. XD

  • there was a show in the Uk a few years back called last choir standing, I suggest ya'll look it up on youtube..........anyways even though us welsh won.....I think if these guys went on........they woulda owned us Hahaha

  • these guys are so awesome!!

  • so much audience noice!! very good though

  • Oh, I love this song. ^__^

  • Nice Piece of ART dude!

  • GENIUS!!!!

  • Rofl +1 guys. Nice.

  • Wow! They really sound great! Not only that, they're entertaining too! I hope I could see a better copy of their videos... :D

  • YES YES YES!! I LOVE IT!!!

  • I don't hate the audience in the slightest - it's that kind of audience reaction that really inspires good groups to give great performances, which is clearly the case here! I wouldn't hope for anything less from a live audience when such a quality group are performing in that kind of environment. Well done guys, it really does sound awesome =D

  • i would love to see them do that song from beetle juice.. i cant remember the name right now but that would be freakin great!

  • @1J0kEr1

    harry belafonte day-O

  • @creborn thank youlol

  • wtf stop laughing. Very impressive performance (minus the stupid ass crowd)

  • There are some parts where I wonder "Why is the audience laughing at this? Some parts aren't even funny!" I dunno, but it's sort of irritating at the beginning during that one guy's solo. His voice sounds lovely, though. :)

  • you guys are amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
