For the folks wondering how the snake keeps moving: I have no idea, but it's a well documented phenomenon. There are even a bunch of videos here on youtube of folks killing snakes, cutting off their heads, chopping them in half—and the darn pieces keep going!

I've only seen a few...and one couple. each time I tried to follow them on foot obviously keeping my distance for safety but they lose you quickly and they just keep going. very cool thing for you to see btw... it's quite a rare sight in the bush ut a very welcome one when you do see one. nice that you got it on camera and thank you for sharing it. I couldn't quite make out what the snake was... do you know? Also you must've been fairly close to water as I can hear a fisheagle in the background

In other for snakes venom to take an effect on you it needs to be injected directly to your blood stream if you drink a little amount of it it won't do any harm on you...
