  • Can't think of one logical reason to like The Cult...but I like them anyway. This tune was good for dancing in the one club that was open after all the other coubs closed.

  • more BASS DRUM !!

  • This was the best to dance to in the clubs in the 80's. Girl's panties came off when you could dance to this beat. I play it for the wife every now and then. Here comes the rain ;)

  • Always loved The Cult's extended mixes.

Love the love album & this is definitely one of my favs/

  • haven't heard this in years, fucking excellent. Has that strange volume increase near the beginning which I was convinced was a problem with my stereo....

  • i still have the 12" in a closet. :P

  • Listener Tip: ONLY TO BE PLAYED @ FULL VOL

  • I had this on a cassettesingle or something, great to hear this version again!!

  • Amazing!

  • Played this @ The State nightclub in Liverpool ( UK ) . lasers and dry ice.

  • one of the greatest 12" versions ever! beats the 7"

  • @brianmacdaye It might not have have fitted in on the album, but sometimes I wish it was the one on Love.

  • Great nic Annie, awesome musical taste too. The Cult was phenomenal in the 80's. A highly talented and underrated band.

  • incredible song

  • One of the best rock/dance songs of all time? I know, hyperbole. But this song, especially this 12" version, rocks like the end of the world. Reminds me of 6th Street in Austin, TX, 1988, when I ate my body weight in X.

    I am conflicted.

Those were great times, but I am better off now...

  • awesome

  • LOVE this....

  • omg im 14 again too my parents hated this song dad knew every word i played it that loud and that much

  • Now how can you top that?

  • One of many songs in which the 12" version is better than the album version. Lips Like Sugar by Echo & The Bunnymen is another.

  • @mowkie I agree completely.

Please post a link to the 12" of Lips Like Sugar. At first glance through youtube I couldn't find it.

  • @scond1 You can listen and download the 12'' version of Lips Like Sugar at mp3skull.com. Just type in Echo and the Bunnymen and Lips Like Sugar and the 12'' version is second from the top.

  • TY Bono.

  • @mowkie Echo and The Bunnymen FTW!!!!!!! :-)

  • @mowkie She sells sanctuary is another one.

  • I am 14 again! First 'band' I ever saw - Cornwall Collesieum, St Austell 1985 - still got the bootleg cassette! Many good times. Cheers mate!

  • Best song of 1985. Sounded especially nice blasting out of my dorm in college.
