Eternal Champions during it's time was well over looked because of the popularity of Street Fighter and Mortal, then you also had other contenders in the mix (SnK games, Virtua Fighter). Despite those issues it was still a good game and had some unique fatalities of it's own which is why I think a crossover fighter with Mortal Kombat could work.

@crazyoku1 I don't see how Capcom can still hate Midway considering that Midway doesn't exist anymore(they went backrupt a couple of months after they released mortal kombat vs dc universe) and MK is now owned by Warner Bros. Plus Mortal Kombat outsells Street Fighter(I can show you the statistics if you don't believe me) and the newst one got great ratings for the good story mode and action packed gameplay plus a variety of game modes so I doubt that it's the "shittiest game to ever."

@jmeny14 Well I think I am the only one who can agree WB didn't do much at all to the new MK, and it's still a pretty good game, better than the 3D fighter mortal kombats hands down, even though thats mainly what the current gen feels is the best. (I prefer the original mortal kombats, hell I own MK II on the snes)

@schuka5 WB didn't do much to the new MK because they're not the developers of the game they're just the publisher. The real developers are Netherealm studios which are the OG creators that go way back with MK. Yes I agree that MK9 was a great game and brought back nostalgia but at the same time gave a fresh new feel with the story mode, graphics, and the gameplay. Yeah I agree with you the 2D MKs were a lot more difficult and challenging which made them exciting.

What would rock is a new fighter with the best ideas from all fighting game rules. Capcoms LMH system, EX moves, teamplay and focus attacks. KOF freedom of movement, MK's flowing animations and no BS hitbox logic (utterly unappreciated by SF players who shoryuken everything), and Guilty Gear's range of options for super meter, from fast-as-you-want-to-play canceling to making a final stand with faultless defense. Soul Caliber's got good ideas about parrying. there's still gems in SNK too.

innovation is in how you play it. If a fighting game allows the player to be 100% perfectly innovative, it's as innovative as it will ever be. The problem is that the developers of fighters are extremely entrenched in their own specific rulesets. Collabs suck IMO. Nothing worse than taking your fav fighters from one game and then bastardizing their style by forcing them into some goofy ruleset.

The graphics are really good but I really hate the art style for this game. Also it would be cool if all games on the Vita would run at 60FPS other than the standard 30.The 3DS can play games like super street fighter 4 and dead or alive in 60FPS with 3D disabled so Sony will definitely have to make games play in 60FPS on their PSPVITA otherwise it would be odd that a game system which is more powerful than the 3DS can't run games at 60FPS. Am still looking forward to the vita when it comes out.
