buddy, its all in relation to the play-by-play announcer. its joe bowen. he is the most beloved leafs play-by-play announcer there is. he also happens to be a lover of all things sports. he uses these analogies because he knows the crowd hes speaking to. they aren't stupid. they can make the connection. he respects his listeners knowledge of the game. he knows hes in the smartest, biggest hockey market on earth. he doesn't need to be textbook. have fun watching the vs. netork.
