finally beat this campaign... its great its great very nostalgic from the 1st silent hill and the best.. is that the town is actually identical.. i could get around just fine remembering where i went in the ps1 version! cant wait for the full version, i also hope that they will insert actually game music into the campaign.

Every map on this campaign is a 99% replica, except few expectations. It is always funny when some people says that "i hope they will add the original music", what they don't know is that, the music has always been there, also that i told them, as i wrote on the description on l4dmaps dot c.o.m, "First time playing? Type "snd_rebuildaudiocache" in the console, and WAIT until it's done." I am currently fixing that problem so you don't have to type that console command. Glad you enjoyed it.

I had lots of custom models before the VPK system came to us, unfortunately, those SH2-3 models didn't work properly when i packed everything into a VPK, left 4 dead instantly crashed and i believe that there might be something wrong with those compiled models. I would loved to get them back in. I didn't want to add those "cutscenes" into L4D, there are enough confusion already when they are trying to figure out what do to on those particular maps.

I also would like to do SH2, but not by myself, hell no. Lots of models, textures, sounds (i got those already) has to be done and someone has to map everything from SH2 piece by piece. That is way to much for a person alone, there will be a long time until when the SH1 campaign will go from BETA to FINAL, V4.0 is only a scratch on the surface.

Well I just saw a long chain of videos from the Town to the end of the Alternate Hospital. So far, it's looking really good. Since I don't know anything about mapping, I can't assist you there, but I can try to help in a few fields. Assuming you actually need it, that is.

i found a 153 Mo vpk file on l4d maps, sending me on mediafire to download it. I guess this is the answer i was searching for.

i have problems to install the map. Its not a vpk file...so i put all the folders in place but with no vpk file in addons, the game doesnt recognize the map. There's absolutely nothing about silent hill when i open the game. Did i missed something else than ''copy all the folders in this path'' as it says in the read me file?

I agree, i tried to play with those SH2-3 models i had packed inside the VPK addon, dogs were lying around where the dog street is, a Numbbody was lying at a random spot.

When L4D tried to render the models, no, it crashed before even trying to render it. Every model from that pack works if i don't pack it as a VPK addon.

Played, and it might just be me, but the school alt level fucked me over royally.

*Everybody was everybody else, bill said francis's "WHO JUST BEEFED?" Line.

*The doors, didnt appear as doors, but other various objects.

*i could SEE the zombie spawns, literally, they appeared as green gordon freemans.

*Error model in the alt universe school. One of the seat benches.

*Sinks on the wall zombies crotch

I was playing the campaign through online with two others, and something happend during loading the third map, as you just described.

For some reason, that didn't happend to the one that created the server, but only us other two.

Everytime i test my maps on my system, that never happends.

The sounds works, it's just that you haven't use the command "snd_rebuildaudiocache"

Anyhow, i am updating with the vpk file system soon.

Any other problems, type it on l4dmaps comments.
