  • God i wish the alto / the soloist went crazy on this groove.. I can imagine this song having soloists that can sing in the altissimo range.. it would be so awesome.

    Great bari player!

  • you guys have us beat big time. we are just now playing this.

  • this would be so much better if it were played with more....emotion, i guess.

  • Who is the composer of this song?

  • @xSke7ch , it's jeff jarvis

  • got to love the bari sax man i play the thing myself its soo epic. its huge. makes a huge sound but could be easily controlled.i love playing that thing...when i have the money ill buy a personal one instead of using a school one

  • that was a long guitar guitar solo! in my jazz band i only get like 16 measures of solo lol

  • nice sax section, its really hard to play in tune for that song, they did a great job

  • yh my teacher just ordered this peice for our band and guess what, im the bari part!!! WHOO!!!

  • Mr Drummer man pretty good job id like to see a little more funkiness put into it. i like what you had going on but you could also put in some big cues and kicks to kick off the rest of the band on the key phrases like in the main shout chorus part. I like the fills and other splits of the sorts. great ride cymbal work. One of my favorite things for messing around on this tune is to play Santa Clara vanguards electric wheelchair drumline warmup on the intro afer the four bar rest.

  • This isnt marching band. I dont think putting a Drum Corps warmup into a jazz song would be a very good idea. Just saying its appropriate on the field, but not when you playing jazz on a stage.

  • I think the mood could've been more laid back. Good bari player.

  • Good playing. Tip time: Sax soloist. Great tone. I would work on playing a little less diatonicly (up and down scale) Also a few non chord tones are nice every now and then. Trumpets (being one myself) when you're just belting comfortable stuff like double C's (highest note in the chart?) make sure to really articulate the ends of the phrase. Dat dat dooo DAT! Just get a big ole P H phat bite on the end of it. Really enjoyed this. Keep on rockin' that bari dude.

  • It was pretty good.

  • Very strong bari player.

  • woot! we're playing this! I love it!

  • that guitar solo was kool, were playing this in our jazz band at valley view high school, ohio

  • OMFG! That sax solo gave me the shivers!!!

  • Gah man. Let it wail out! Your sounds is so smooth jazzy, this is funk! let it wail, go listen to us and them by pink floyd, i know thats a tenor, but altos can wail like that too. You gotta get out of that classical gone jazz sound!

  • ok yeah i play alto sax and still that should be a gutair solo not any other insturment my bro even agrees and he plays trumpet

  • i hear bass but i dont see one just a telecaster

  • its a keyboard bass. we have an actual bassist now.
