This sounds really good. Having never played one, can you tell me how it projects? Would it be loud enough to function in place of a double bass in, for example, a bluegrass band? Thanks for posting.

It's a great instrument.
I've done a few gigs with it, and it sounds really good. It does sound a bit like a double bass.
If you're planing to play with an amp or D.I. than you don't have any problem. But I wouldn't recommend on goung unplugged.
