@FlyingRustler Nah,just wanted to get some laps in with the new truggy,the rc8t is a lot heavier and i didnt want to plow anyone or break there truck. It was still fun to run though even with all the short course dudes practicing :-)

did you need to higher the center diff to fit the castle motor ?

@nvtuning I read early on about that before i got mine,mine came with a small plate that mounts between the diff and the chassis to raise it. There is just enough room but the motor touches the chassis,would probally have to notch the plate if you use a pinion smaller than a 16t because the motor is against it and cant go in closer to the spur on mine with the 2200kv castle motor.

punch on 100% put it on 60 or so the gears can handle it

Stock kit plastic spur and 16t pinion.

@nvtuning The spur that was on the diff in the kit is the one i used,not sure what size.. i checked the parts bag and didnt have any other spur. I can check again later to be sure.. going to fly my new heli and check some set up changes out on the radio.

@HappyTreeFriends247 I like the kits because you can choose what electronics etc you want without buying a rtr with stuff you already have. Kits are not difficult to build.. just read the manual and take your time assembling them.

The castle mamba combo is $300.00 for motor and esc.. then another $100.00 for a good steering servo. If your starting from scratch you can get some nice 1/10th cars rtr for less than half the price of a decent 8th scale truggy.

The 2200kv is more than enough for me,the 2650kv motor is a bit much for a truggy especially on a small track.
