I grew up in the black hills.....to add to me8825's comment....you tourists....STOP trying to pet the buffalo, take pictures with them or feed them...they are wild animals! You don't see Dakota natives walking up to a 2 ton animal with horns and trying to pet em do you?

I am a huge advocate of animal rights so you don't really need to preach about it on my comments.

I did not try to pet them, I did not try to feed them and I didn't try to take pictures with them. I took pictures OF them but not WITH them Furthermore, you shouldn't be hating on tourists as tourism is the majority of your states income

I used to live in Selby, SD and Spearfish, SD. There isnt much in South Dakota, but its still a good state to be in. I would rather be there then here in Washington State

I live in the Black Hills (rapid city)

I'll tell you guys some facts just in case you where wondering:

-Every year all the corn is taken off the corn palace and replaced with new fresh corn.

-The black hills are known as the 5 min forcast region because the weather changes so fast its went from 111*f to Rainy and 37*f in 4 hours

-Your supposed to honk when going through a tunnel because 17 people died last year from crashes through black hills road tunnels

My great grandpa was born in South Dakota. He now lives in Wisconsin, so don't i. It's beautiful out there.. I went out there when i was like 7 or 6. We got to check out the badlands it was pretty awesome.

Great Job and it's weird to think that i see all that seanery practially all year long and then tourists come and think it's just amazing..i guess i take it for granted sometimes. Yes you most definately go at some point in your life.  I think my next big adventure is going to be driving from Des Moines, IA to Anchorage, AK. Going to Vegas in February I may make a video out of those photos. Thanks for the compliment!

I can't BELIEVE this video.. because i went on the SAME TRIP, at the SAME TIME as you!! Granted, mine was like a week and a half long and took place on a bus full of senior citizens that i was helping lead thru the tour, but hey.. they move slower. I have pics of me in some of the EXACT same spots (including the rattlesnake sign). Great vid!
