It's odd how slow paced this game is compared to Melee. I'm still pretty new to brawl and what I've seen mostly so far is that people are so hesitant to rush the opponent or even make an offensive move because of the great reach of smash attacks and the much slower run speed and dashing attacks also seem nerfed. Can anyone confirm/deny or elaborate on these observations for me?

Basically, most attacks are laggy, so people rely on their opponents missing their attacks, and attack during their opponents lag. It's all about baiting the opponent into missing an attack... or TRIPPING. That's basically all it is.

on brawl you really have to watch your opponent and wait for him to mess up. and then strike. thats how i see it.

No he did a DAC Upsmash. Dance Attack Cancelled Upsmash if you didn't know what it was. You dash then press down on the C stick then up really quickly

staying in the same place makes it easier for Wolf to laser and Fsmash. DSF moved around to avoid being, plus Marth's aerials come out quicker than his ground moves so he stayed air born a majority of the time.
