  • You have found the cache at zero feet away if and only if your gps agrees with the hider's gps.

    For the newbies don't expect to always find the cache at zero feet- more times then not you have to expand the search area 10-40 feet away.

  • I just recently got in trying this hobby when me and a friend stumbled across a geocache by accident. Don't get me wrong, it was well-hidden... but we like to explore the less-beaten trails in our woods, and happened to find our very first cache. Totally by accident!

  • they are usually trying to get to a certain location, you normally place them in a cache near an airport or park-n-ride so someone flying there can give it a ride to a closer cache
