  • You can already see all the fracture lines on the helix before it has been impacted

I think dynamic fracturing would have looked alot better and realisitic

Still nice though, the integration of fumefx is done nicely :)

  • this is too good to be true

  • Do u know a tutorial where I can learn more about thinkung particles? Awesome BTW! :)

  • Looks really good

  • This thing need some descent textures to reach perfection.

  • Yoda called, he wants his green lightsaber back. Besides, he's the only one with hands small enough to use it.

    :D

  • sexy!

  • Woah...this is very impressive..

  • How did you make that twisting shape?

    I know it's a C4D preredner, but I haven't found it yet :(

  • So REAL!!!!

  • Frostbite 3.0.

  • C4d or 3dx Max?

  • @TheLegendHD 3dx Max

  • lol render time on that "?

  • @discipleofhoudini i don't remember but i'm sure that it was less than 2 hours...

  • @bigbighobbit oh wow i was expecting some massive time - amazing work btw

  • @discipleofhoudini thanks ))

  • @bigbighobbit wow really? what CPU for les than 2 hours? Nice time!

  • @bigbighobbit pc specs at time n if changed?

  • how do u get fumefx? i have 3dmax and stuff but when i go to dcpflics it askes for a request code, what do i do? so consused

and also when i am in the 3dmax keygen what do i do i think that wher i get code from but i dont have one? soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo confused

  • i don't know anything about cgi or 3d simulations or whatever you would call it but some of these videos are so fucking cool. it's amazing what computers can do

  • Dang that is good

  • omg

  • I'm thinking Inception..

  • how du make the fog???

  • @Shawn13ism fume fx ))

  • @Shawn13ism fume fx ))

  • @bigbighobbit is it free? if so, where I get it?thank´s

  • This is the thing that the half life series should stride for, instead of having a a wooden box that turns into about 5 pieces of wood which resembles nothing like the original box

  • still one of my favorites, yar!!!

  • This is just beautiful.

  • Dude. This actually made my jaw drop! For real. This is the best thinking particles vid I've seen!

  • So I was like "well thats one low-res torus kn-AAAAAWESOMEEEEE =D"

  • what program do you use???

  • what exactly do thinking particles do? what used TP and what used FumeFX in this scene?

  • @SuperAzproductions FumeFX for dust :D

  • @Ps3OwnsMiradoRx What is the difference between rayfire and TP? Which is the best? ty for replying

  • @SuperAzproductions I don't know i only use Thrausi , ask someone else :/ sry

  • looks really good

  • you can tell its prefractured because of the horrible smoothing, but looks very cool

  • Does it take a lot more time to render stuff in slow-motion?

  • @CrzayMazy nope! it's the same thing if you are talking about render time))

  • @CrzayMazy frames are frames

  • @gobacktorussia That might be true for the composition and effects like lightning, but in order to calculate the physics at say frame 30, it also has to calculate those at frame 0-29.

  • @CrzayMazy if you slow down the scene so it takes more frames, then yes. more frames to render

  • just because of that I'm gonna add this video on my favorites nice FX :D

  • wy they cant make that in a game??!! :(

  • dude thats some shit straight out of Inception

  • that was awesome

  • I, too, would like to know how you did the dust effects.

    Very nice video otherwise. :)

  • Comment removed

  • can you give a link with a tutorial for this?

  • Could you give a little more detail on how you managed to incorporate the smoke in the scene? Thanks :D

  • Most excellent! The results look very realistic.

  • That´s still good in 2010 !! Thumbs up ! =)

  • this is fantastic.

  • Woah that's a pretty tasty wall breaking. I see some unrealistic debris but that didn't mind much, the effects were great. The particles and dust were great and the shape that also broke was done really well.

I like this render, it has really good dust and debris.

  • sick, man ;)

  • Great look!

  • Wow, this is incredible, very realistic, good job!!

  • I really liked it wish you put a tutorial on here

  • How'd you create the destructiveness?

No third party plugins like Rayfire?

    Anyways,great job.

  • @Samota0 geometry is broken by script, named FractureVoronoi ))

the dynamics made by thinking particles and dust by fume fx

  • So it the destruction dynamic or are you having to add the breaking points yourself?

Either way this is really cool man!

  • render time?

  • @ventHARAS i don't remember but i'm sure that it was less than 2 hours...

  • @bigbighobbit wow if i did that it would take me like 2 days

  • @bigbighobbit what kind of computer do you have

  • very well done~!

  • This is some awesome job!

    Congrats!

Will be seeing the tutorial some time soon...

  • This is a very very nice. Congratulations !!!!

  • amazing working mate, looking forward to the tutorial

oh man sorry iam so stupid, i have looked on the wrong place.

  • @guitarmageddon666

where is the Tut? i cant found it on your site.

  • @VyTe86 look on his youtube page

  • @guitarmageddon666

where is the Tut? i cant found it on your site.

  • omg tutorial thats epic

  • A very nice way to combine the two plugins.

what are the chances you'd make it longer?

  • @streetrulez it's a very old video, so with this one, there isn't any chances))

  • you use the Torus Knot right?

good work but a bit short

  • wow, very cool

  • awesome! i'd love to sit and learn from you :P

  • holy crap... that looks amazing!

  • *Thumbs up* Excellent job.

  • i would love to know how to do this

  • We could use a guy like you on our team. i have a proposition for you. check out my video for more details!

  • this is easily one of the coolest fracture vids I have seen. Great job - the dust really sells it!

  • a+++++++++

  • Awesome, maybe too much destruction though lol :)

  • There is never to much destruction. But thats just my opinion :P

  • Awesome O_O

  • oh shit...awesome!!

  • Please do a tutorial

  • I waiting for this tutorial :P

  • this is cinema 4d right???

  • Very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very gooood

  • no waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

  • great job! what program or plugin did you use to create the breaking simulation?

  • wow this is facking awesome

  • .please do a tutorial..

  • Yeah, let's have a tutorial on this. Looks great.

  • Is the program able to calculate how the object breaks or is it prepared before?

  • @Damnshid first of all it was broken without any special calculation!

  • looks good, but I agree too short. Something good should be enjoyed!! :)

  • awesome but too short :D

  • wow cool

  • U have to make tutorial about this ;) !

  • C4D ??? OMG

  • 3d's max))

  • fucking amazing dude....please do a tutorial...ill even pay

  • : O

  • HOT!

  • nice and great job man i done some real flow animation see it....dude i think u like that

  • Omg that looks so real, great job!

  • great result

  • super :)

  • quick question, was thinking particles and fumefx only used in the dust from the impact or was that shape breaking up thinking particles?

really great job though, thats film quality

  • thanks for all comments)) any way geometry is breaking by script, named FractureVoronoi ))

the dynamics made by thinking particles and dust by fume fx

  • realy nice fume integration

  • Really Nice! really.

  • Really Nice!!!! Really!

  • Wow! Looks VERY real!

  • wow this is a great shot!! i'd love to see a tutorial on this one or can you at least describe the steps you made to achieve those effects? by the way, i don't have access to the fumefx nodes in my thinking particles 3.0 - why is that so?? greetz

  • FumeFX is a separate plugin.

  • Hahaha. WELL DONE! I was expecting the torus to burn or explode, not what happened. Good work.
