@Laash101 i believe this gap from what is semi professional and professional is small nowadays. d7000 is perhaps all everyone want. go to... freedslr dot com change dot with . and try to get a chance to bring home completely new Nikon D7000
Son of a bitch. I shoot Nikon but there is no denying that this is an impressive camera, I have watched videos about it before but that was the fastest I have heard it shoot.haha.
Yes, it is... Price is way to high for junk that I don't really need. So why the hell should I pay more if I get the same quality picture? 30D is by far the best Canons small sensor SLR right now. Hell, for the same money I could get even 5D with big sensor and really good lense. Its just not making any sense to me...
Thats pretty darn cheap considering the 1N was about the same time. APS-H 10.1MP, DUAL DIG!C 3 PROCESSORS (everyone seams to forget that), 10FPS!, Extremely Durable weather sealed body w/ powerful new "smart" batter, NEW revamped easy to use interface.... and so much dang amazing stuff that I think im going to save up cash for one... Im a junior too.
i would say the frame rate is the least important thing about this camera to any professional. live-view, self cleaning sensor, and ISO6400 are far more attractive than 10fps. If you rely on high frame rates, you're doing something wrong. Cool camera though. thanks for the video.
I doubt that the sports photographers that buy this will consider 10fps unimportant. I shoot some motorsports and this camera would be the absolute best thing for my use.
I am a sports photographer! And was a photojournalist for the Air Force. I still cant believe people are in awe at fast frame rates. Canon released an SLR that shot 14fps over 20 years ago. big whoop. Ive never needed used 8fps bursts for anything; motocross, gymnastics, soccer, skateboarding. I think the only time I have ever used it was to show someone how fast is was and how "cool" it sounded.
Yep, youre right....you dont need high frame rates for those 4 sports you mentioned. What about volleyball, golf, football, baseball, basketball, soccer......If you've ever been on the sidelines of D1 or bigger university (in other words more than 1 or 2 shooters at the games) you would hear the sound of 10+ photographers laying on the shutter for 4-5 frames (on 8 frames per second bodies).
yes he did.. yes he did. outed himself aswell because any person would know that the more shots the better the effect.. and digital isn't easy to get this with due to processing!
It's not the 10 fps that's the best part...it's the bursts of 4 or 5 that are closer together in succession than in previous models. I dont think I ever shoot 8 frames in a row. Shooting 4 frames in 1/2 second and shooting 5 frames in 1/2 second is actually a huge advantage and huge selling point of this camera! The ability of getting one more frame from the "decisive moment" is huge.

Of course it makes no sense to you! Your in no need of these advanced features i say leave it to the pros and just stick to your 30D.

10fps is ok.. 8.5fps isn't that far behind. 10mega-pixels not going to see a huge difference.. I still love my mark2n:-)

live-view is probably the least attractive thing for a professional photographer...

Setting up remotes would be sooo much easier with this. I can't believe you even just said that. Please crawl back into your hole, please!
