What's interesting, colour seems to matter in Ghana, all my male pals there want a fairer skinned girl and my girl pals want a fairer skinned guy - they're put on a pedestal for some reason, that might be true elsewhere in Africa, but Ghana's what I know. A Fair skinned ghanaian isn't uncommon at all though, it's possibly tribal as my mates cast (tribal origins) are mostly fairer skinned.
