This is off of Episode 2, Season 1, which was aired in 93. The song is even older then that, the composer making it when he was in highschool, making it's origin roughly in the 60's or 70's. Since then, many more countries have been broken apart or combined to make new countries, an example being Czechoslovakia now being The Czech Republic and Slovakia. Now stop bitching about missing countries and just enjoy the damn song.

It's amazing how much work they used to put into this show. Imagine having to do all that. Putting EVERY SINGLE country to a tune not created by you. Then the voice of Yakko had to read them off without skipping a beat, and the animators then had to make him point to the correct country faster than any child watching can process. That is what made this show successful, the heart and sweat put into it.

@ShadowofMeadow its a funny anime that kinda takes place during WWII and tge characters are named after countries. the characters are all stereotypical images of the country (england- drinks tea america-eats hamburgers italy-PASTAAAA russia- vodka and so on...) and its pretty funny (only if you have a good sense of humor) but overall the anime displays a few moments in history in many funny ways. and to be honest i think its easier to study geography when i think about the characters...
