One of the guys I fly with locally balances all my fans. He's been in this hobby a decade longer than myself and has a unit that marks the EDF fans and he starts the balance process. As far as the J-power series 50MM EDF units, I have never recieved one that came balanced. The first engine run up sounds like something is stuck in the fan.

@akngac5 yeah sometimes it needs you to hear it in person. so these 50mm edf fans come unbalanced? how then do you balance it?
