  • Oh how I love this =D Why wasn't I around in the 80ies?

  • you gone to far this time, but im dancing on the valentine i tell you somebody fooling around, with chances on the dangerline

  • Let's dance, Valentine! :-D

  • I love so much this song. D.D. are the best in the world. Guapísimos. Traspasan la pantalla.

  • @knowlgo OMG how can you say the 80's was the worst era!? Or better still how about you keep your irrelevant and pointless opinions to yourself! and saying the 70's was better LOL! if you think the goodies and all that shite are better then I think i should leave you to it...

  • @heskins don't hate the playa, hate the game. and don't kill the messenger just because you still have feathered ass hair, some ocean pacific corduroy shorts, and a gay sweater tied around your neck. oh yeah, and get rid of those tired ass penny loafers loser.

  • @knowlgo But the reality is my friend everyone old enough remembers the 80's! By these comments you sound like a stereotypical dickhead who never had the balls to wear 80's fashion at the time because you thought it was gay!. So before you call me a loser i think you should look around... i have seen some kids wearing clothes that were fashionable back in the 80's. and many clothes stores are bringing it back my friend. Although, i never wore a sweater around my neck anyway!

  • Another reason why CD sales are down! They don't make music like this anymore. Music nowadays is crap!

  • Umm, no, CD sales are down because people are cheapskates and download everything or copy it from a friend.

There's plenty of good music today. You just need to look for it and quit whining about what they play on Top 40 radio.

  • That is why CD sales is down when you have to look for good music. When did THAT happened? I couldn't name the current number one hit on the Billboard to save my life.

  • Well no, because people from this generation will like this music, like hardcore kids, gangsters, 20th century hippies.

  • 1:12 the line dave chappelle was singing about in 1 of his lost episodes. "the reflex is one lonely child!" LMAO

  • what is this song about?

  • It's about getting an erection - a reflex - the embaressment that comes with it and the humor that our bodies give us with these fun little things.

Bluntly - He was with a girl he liked and boned out and has to live down her telling everybody.

  • i juste love this song.

  • classic 80's favourites on dance floor

  • Ahhh, I'm in love with this song.

  • Dancemania 80's Two

Appears in DDRMAX2 AC, DDR EXTREME AC, DDRMAX2 JAP, DDR EXTREME US.

I love playing this song on Doubles Standard.

  • I remember when this song came out, the country went apeshit you couldnt go 3 feet with out hearing it

  • who cares?! this song NEVER gets old

  • Perfect song

  • This was in a Weird Al Polka. not sure which one..

  • hey what the hell is wrong with old music,

i think the old stuff is better than the new shit we all here today.

  • you are so right. This new stuff is so overrated.

  • y no what Meathead? ur right! It's more their style...but it's a good song anyway...

  • you been smokin dodgy substances?

  • OH I LOVE DURAN DURAN TOO!

  • I was 12 when I first heard this song and watched this music video on TV in HK. This song impressed many teenages like me at that time. What a good song! Thanks for posting it. Recall the good memories of the 80's.

  • Great song, my favorite form Duran Duran, great upload. The song after Reflex, is "Jeanny" from Falco?

  • "The Reflex", released April 1984, was #1 on music charts, even with its puzzling lyrics. Strong conjecture it's either about erections or drug abuse. According to lyrics, the Reflex is a mysterious child and a game. Video was shot at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. The video screen above the stage displayed naked models. At one point, a waterfall appears to pour out above the stage to soak the audience. The computer graphics were cutting edge at the time, but now look dated. (From Wikipedia)

  • The waterfall effect...LAME..

  • なつかしー!これみてファンに

  • this is one of my all time favs glad its there

  • I would just like to comment on how this video was posted on YouTube. Umm yeah I'm used to watching videos coming in loud and clear and this video just doesn't fit the criteria. I'm sorry.

  • just dont look and buy all the videos you want in a plce that you know with a good sound and video dont waist your time looking at this trash use you CRITERIA dont be sorry im sorry with you you idiot

  • I think the reflex by duran duran

is going to use for the up coming

speed racer? It could be the same

they did on the transfromers on 2007.

because they 1 80's song from the cars.

  • HOT HOT HOT..it was HOT then and its still HOT now..these guys rock..and the 12" mix of this track is fkn awesome..djrj

  • wat da hell in this song about, i do luv it but it makes no sense, even simon said he doesn't know wat it's about!

  • I like this song quite a bit, I was 12 when it was hot but can somebody explain me what the song is about?

  • Im sure its about love, or being cheated on. Just like every other song from the 80's.

  • I reckon its all symbolism to rootin'. The 'only child' refers to his cock finding 'Treasure in the dark'. 'Waiting by the park' could be a reference to his pubes...Maybe : )

  • Yeah or it could mean that too.

  • ARE YOU STILL 12 OR WHAT

  • We use to make fun of these groups, after all they came after Hard Rock. But compared to today's Pop music (can u actually call rap, hiphop Pop music or music at all) it's like 100 times better than rapcrap hiphop and all their deriatives.

  • haha luckely i was born a few years later so i didnt heard much of the song (or its succes:P) but i heard it in american pie movie at the stiffler dance off haha roflmao

  • I naturally wonder what the song is about. Like a lot of their songs, it's just random words. It's a great song though.

  • lol i remember this song... i was 7 years old, in a toystore getting a green playmobil cesna.. it was on the radio :)

  • WOW i was in 4th grade when this was big!!!!

  • i just love this song!! Im 18 yrs old but i have to say that the 80´s and 90´s RULZ foreverªªªª!!!

  • I'm 20 and I totally agree with you! wish I was born like 10-15 years earlier :-|

  • well i know that u have heard this song so that means u r cool

  • oh my god, the memories. this is when videos were exciting....

    i loved duran duran...

  • Look at the quality, lol!

  • This group is great! Nice video; plus i always wandered what the lyrics were . XD

  • This song is on Dance Dance Revolution Extreme...

  • thanks for this, it's by far my favouite song from them.I agree with your comments on terroisum, we need peace in the world not war

  • true that!!!! 80s ruled long live hair metal. at least george lynch new how to play his guitar!!!

  • I was a child of the eighties, never got into this group until a few years ago. . now they are one of my favourites

  • Duran Duran was also part of the wave that ushered in the music video. They were very dynamic for their time!

  • this music is spectacular!

  • Boy 80s music was pretty bad, excluding these guys. Still good today. They have stood the test of time.

  • yeah!!

  • Awesome song!!! Doesn't make a bit of sense (to me atleast) but hey it sounds GOOD!!!

  • BTW

Below is a comment to DroverChicago

  • I hate to admit it but every time I hear this song I smell weed.... Just a reflex I guess.

  • great !

  • one thing the 80s had that the 2000s are lacking is good music

  • I agree...there will never be another decade like it as far as music is concerned.

  • "I grew up in the 80's....loved this song.....but I still don't understand what "The Reflex" is LOL"

What about THE RockEFeLler EXecutive aka David Rockefeller?

Mr.Confusion always leaves you answered with a question mark!

  • Damn it. All that I do is make a comment and everyone goes and kills me.

Will you all stop this? All that I did was express myself and all I got in return was people flaming me.

    Thank YOU very much.

  • this son is very nice

  • I must have been 9 or 10 when this vid was made, I was SOOOO in love with John Taylor, Thanks for posting this vid! I loved seeing how excited the crowd was and this has to be my fave song by them!

  • I grew up in the 80's....loved this song.....but I still don't understand what "The Reflex" is LOL

  • This was filmed live at Maple Leaf Gardens which opened in 1931 in Toronto. The video was shot in the '80's and in 2007 the arena is being turned into a supermarket but their keeping the outer shell, peace

  • Awesome. this is the perfect live performance of this song:)

  • EXELLENT PERFECT!!!!!!

  • I think that I can answer this. Because, compared to today, the eighties were so much better. I mean, global warming was less, everything was less expensive (Including gas.), and life was better to live, and music was one hell of a lot better.

I may have been born in 1989, but I feel as though I have lived this decade before and loved it.

And, we weren't fighting no fucking war on terrorism!!!

  • I remember miners strikes, high unemployment, the IRA bombing campaign, capitalism, AIDS and the cold war. The only good thing was getting sent home from school or having days off because the teachers went on strike!

  • We still have strikes, mining and otherwise, The IRA at least warned when they struck (so it was property, not lives taken), Capitalism is America's second flag then as it is now (apologies to our American friends, but it is very sadly true), AIDS did not originate in the 80s, there was just a public awareness for it.

I think the 80s were the best decade in my lifetime (with began in the 60s), irrespective of some of the fashions hehe.

  • Clothes and fashion in the 80s were TERRIBLE lol i do lyk alot of 80s music tho =D

  • The Eighties had it's bad things and it's good things too.

I was trying to prove that point but apparently it's become controversial.

  • Most of us who actually lived through the 80s don't care to repeat it. Sociopolitical attitudes were stultifying, fashions were horrid, manners vanished, vanity became fashionable, the 60s hippie generation became shameless materialistic sellouts, and honestly, the music of the 80s sucked a steaming pile of ass. The 90s weren't a whole lot better, but so far the 00's have been OK. But take it from those of us who have been-there-done-that: no reason to re-live the 80s, thankyouverymuch.

  • i disagree, but at least technology is nice

  • Socio-political attitudes have not become any less ridiculous that I have witnessed. Simply changed to new forms of idiocy. Manners seem to be far more related to geo-political boundaries than any "age". Who cares what the hippies did in the 80s? Everyone makes mistakes. The music of the 80s rocked.

  • Man, you have some nerve. And in reality, you can't really talk for everyone here. Also, I think you have it backwards, 80's music was AWESOME. MOST of the music in the 00's is horrible. Rap is the most retarded, shameful, and ridiculous music to evr be made. It even tops Contemporary Christian as worst type of music in my mind. Anyway, Music started oing downhill in the 90's, not uphill. Thats my point.

  • i agree

  • I agree about the rap comment more than I can even say, but as far as music going downhill in the 90's - I think that is shortsighted. The radio due to monopolization has gone downhill leaving us with repeat songs of crap- but it you get music from other sources, I think you would discover a vast world of breathtaking and amazing music available. Think about it - rap is cheap as hell to produce, why do you think some recording companies love it so much?

  • i wish i alive in the 80s..

  • no you don't....trust me

  • why do you say that?..

    :(

  • Awesome!! I was born in 1982 and so never saw them in their prime. But hey who cares, they still rock!!

  • AWESOME! i wish i was born in mid seventees so i could go to things like this in mah prime!

  • wow! that kind of what or what. i like 80's esp these bands along with duran duran. and thier cool... tnx to the one who post it.
