    darklyrics (dot) com/lyrics/finntroll/midnattenswidunder.html#7

  • I love to play the Accordian parts of their songs as lead guitar. Its so sick.!!!!

  • the reason that they sing in swedish is because finland-swedish is a typical troll-language

  • @Graverobber94 wtf hells no the singer's native lingo is swedish and they use it cause it sounds more trollish HAIL TO RIVFADER

  • @Envythedamned no. all of the members are from finland.

  • @Graverobber94 lol i didnt say he wasnt from finland i said it was his native tongue

  • I really don't want to kill the song for you guys....but the melody sound like: "LOOK TWICE - Move That Body"

    Fucking scary...

  • i thought they were from sweden, but then they invented the internet and i learned that iwas wrong, and those who still are ignorant when using the internet (where the answers to all questions are) should not have the privilege to use it :)

  • Finland Swedish sounds like old school Swedish :)

  • I love "Elda blod för mitt folk, min svärd ska törsta för blod"

  • @Peanutman1337 indeed, I mostly turn volume up at that part :D gives me white colours and makes me want to conquer the world ^^

  • @Peanutman1337 what's elda?

  • @Peanutman1337 They don't say that, they say "Eld och blod för mitt folk. Mitt svärd skola törsta för blod."

  • @ghuss7 and beautiful girls ;)

  • the reason that they are singing in swedish is that, as said by Katla (the creator of Finntroll), finland-swedish is the typical "troll language"

  • BLOOOOD UTAAAAAV!! KRISTI STAM!!!!!

    Long live!

  • haha finsk dialekt till svenska, häftigt :P

  • ooaaaaaaaaeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiii :D

  • I don't know why but i got a little tear in my eye.

  • De tog sitt namn från en gammal finsk legend där svenska präster som kommer till Finland hade ett möte med en vild som ser mannen som dödade de flesta av deras parti. De överlevande kom tillbaka med berättelsen om Finntroll. *vet vad talar om*

  • das klingt so geil ^_____^

  • Great Metal = Norway, Sweden, Finland \m/

  • they are from finland and they sing in swedish because finland-swedish is the typical troll-language

  • beutiful music from the pagan vast lands

  • @Redribbo You were sarcastic with that, right? :D not the song part, but from what country they are.

  • @Vahvajussi Yeah, I Hope it was sarcastic too :O

  • @Redribbo haha so sad... XD don't be so unenlightened! don't you know that all the nordic countries have a long long history thogheter? And yes in Finland we ALSO speak sweedish. (infact, one of the most sweedish speeched place in the world is in Finland, called Närpes)

  • @Redribbo Actually, they are from Finland. They sing in Swedish because Katla, the man who founded the band, considered Swedish be sound more "Trollish". Not to mention it was his mother-tongue, being of the Finnish minority who speaks Swedish. Anyway, this song rules.

  • @Redribbo In case you were not trolling, they're Finns singing in swedish...

  • @Redribbo Fail..They really are from Finland :DD Try searching Finntroll from google :D

  • @Redribbo Don't you know that finland's second language is swedish? don't be such a dork.

  • @Redribbo

ever tried to translate finntroll songs from finnish to whatever language?

    if not, try it!

you will see that there is only shit going to be the result...

  • @Redribbo Okay, many has already commented on this, but still I have to ask, did you happen to know, that swedish is the second official language of Finland? And they are from Finland, they are swedish speaking finns!

  • @Redribbo Actually they ARE from Helsinki. That's in Finland. I went to their show and talked to vreth for a long at a meet and greet.

  • @Redribbo First of all, it's not "obvious" considering how few people speak either language. Secondly, they are from Finland, but yes, their lyrics are in Swedish. Swedish is the native language of roughly 6% of Finns.

  • @Redribbo they are from finland and they sing in swedish. and if you wanna know why, its because finland-swedish is the typical "troll language"

  • @Redribbo Finntroll is an extreme metal and folk metal band from Helsinki, Finland. its from wikipedia

  • @Redribbo Finntroll is an extreme metal and folk metal band from Helsinki, Finland. its from wikipedia

  • @Redribbo dumb cunt we know they sing in swedish they are from finland

  • @Redribbo They are from Finland you fucking idiot, they just sing in Swedish. The singer is from a Swedish-speaking minority in Finland.

  • @Redribbo Dom är från Finland och pratar finska, men deras första sångare Katla bodde i Finland men talade också svenska.

Och han tyckte att svenska var mer "trolskt" än finska, så därför sjunger de på svenska, trots att de är från Finland.

  • @Redribbo They are indeed from Finland, but they sing in Swedish, as they find it more troll-like.

  • @Boarred I was actually going to post the exact same thing but u beat me to it hahaha

  • @Redribbo Finntroll is definitely from Helsinki. They only sing in swedish due to the fact that their first vocalist was part of a swedish minority in Finland, and he felt the language better suited th feeling of their songs.

  • @Redribbo Notice the Finn in FINNtroll. Also, Finland speaks finnish and swedish. Finntroll uses both languages. They are from Finland.

  • @Redribbo They're from Finland, but sing in Swedish.

  • @Redribbo They're actually finnish, but they sing in swedish. Unless you're trolling people.

  • @Redribbo They are from Finnland actually but there is a considerable Swedish-speaking minority in Finnland. That's why Swedish is the second official language in Finnland. And the lyrics are swedish because it sounds much more "trollish". :D

They took their name from an old Finnish legend where Swedish priests coming to Finland had an encounter with a wild-looking man who killed most of their party. The survivors came back bearing the tale of the Finn-Troll.

  • @ffarkasm it's Finland in english, Finnland in german.

  • @Redribbo They are finnish trolls talking troll language (swedish)

  • @Redribbo in some parts of finland talk swedish

  • @daniel1galeano1pardo it's even an official language

  • @Redribbo Oh yeah, like Gamma Ray, Blind Guardian, Grave Digger, Immortal, and Gorgoroth are all obviously English because they're singing English.

  • @TwistedMetalLegion

ja gamma ray my favorite, immortal-blashyrich great. I love edguy.

  • @Redribbo Fact: It's impossible to sing in a language other than your native one.

  • @Redribbo In Finland there are people who have Swedish as their motherlanguage, smartass.....

  • @Redribbo

    You are kidding, aren't you?

The reason why they sing in swedish is simple. They have told that swedish sounds more troll-like than finnish.

Hähä!! In your face! Your language sounds so dirty, ugly, troll-like that it's perfect for this band.

Nah i'm kidding myself. Swedish is nice language as is the country itself. Peace!

  • @Redribbo Obviously, you have not realized that their is a Swedish speaking minority in Finland, of wich the first singer of this group was part of. The tradition continued throughout the rest of their singers. Sorry to make you look dumb, but you are.

  • @Redribbo they are singing in swedish with finnish accent because finland-swedish is the typical "language of trolls"

  • @Redribbo You have a lot to learn... Most people in Finland can speak Swedish also because of their history (I can't speak both of them)

  • @Redribbo They sing in Swedish, but are from Finland... Their reason is that it sounds more troll-like

  • @PeNN3rTraTiionzZxX And another reason is that it is their or at lest the singers mother-tongue. :D

  • @Auraruth8 Im sorry I was wrong on that one graverobber has the correct answer. :D

  • @Redribbo swedish language is one of two main languages used in finland

  • @Redribbo They are from Finland.. Singing in swedish -.-

  • @matheny2014 In Finland, ther is about 300.000 swedish speakers :)

  • "root" in swedish would be "rot". "stam" means either "tribe" or if you are referring to a tree, "trunk"

  • oooooooeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiii xDDD

  • I like this. I like it a LLLLooott!

  • ....I'm sorry I rapped you replay button, honestly...

  • thumbs up if you repeated the 3:10 over 1 time

  • 200,000th viewer!

    O_o

  • Where is Trollhorn when Finntroll plays live? Obviously he doesn't have to be present live, but it would we cool to see the master song writer behind Finntroll in person.

  • what does "blut utav krististam" mean?

  • @OctavianKorax they sing "blod utav krististam", i think it means "blood from christianroot!"

  • @Vahvajussi Or christiantribe

  • @Imhornydadcomeinside also an option

  • @Vahvajussi krististam refers to the the followers of christ. Christians. Although stam usually means tribe, in this context it means his followers. Blut is the ancient swedish word for sacrifice, it's also spelled as blot in many texts. Thus, the line "Blut utav krististam" roughly means "Sacrifice the followers of Christ."

  • @Vahvajussi Kristi stam means christian tribe or christian community - people, folk.

  • @OctavianKorax

blod utav kristi stam = blood of the christian tribe

  • I would like to hear this song at my wedding party! Trollhammaren and Den Hornkronte Konungen can be also (DHK especially!).

  • the best finntroll album, best voice, players they ever had, best band logo, the best folk a master piece

  • i thought it meant "Midnight Wanderer", as in, someone who wonders around at midnight.

  • @krustynails Midnattens means The Midnight's and Widunder is an older spelling form of the word Vidunder which means something like Monstrous Creature. Often the term Vidunder is referring to a mythical monster

  • 3:10 BEST ACCORDION SOLO EVER!!!!

  • What does mean "Eld och blood för mitt folk!" ?

  • @Dosenbiertier

it means "fire and blood for my people!" or "blood and fire to my people!" i don't know correct the right answer but one of these 2.. :D

  • @Vahvajussi It's Fire and blood for my people. Fire = eld, and = och, blood = blod, for = för, my = mitt, people = folk. The grammar is the same in this case so :)

  • @Vahvajussi the first one is correct. If it would say "Eld och blod till mitt folk" it would mean fire and blood to my people.

    I'm swedish so that's why I'm answering :P

  • @Dosenbiertier oh, i forgot to ment, the "blood" on text should be "blod" but i wanted add some English here :D

  • @Dosenbiertier it's fire and blood for my people.

  • @Dosenbiertier: it means "Fire and Blood for my people"

  • @Dosenbiertier "eld och blod för mitt folk" = Fire and blood for my people.

  • @Dosenbiertier Eld och blod för mitt folk = Fire and blood for my people.

  • @Dosenbiertier fire and blood for my folk/people

  • @Dosenbiertier eld och blod för mitt folk, means literally " fire and blood for my people"

  • I like the first minute but then it rly turns bad

  • Fucking nice cd cover, kind of scary xD

  • i fuckin love this song!!!!

  • IMO, till 0:25 is fucking grea folk-metalt music, then they ruin the whole song with different rythm...oh and refrain also rocks

  • Is this Wilska or Vreth? I have no clue when this album was even released :P

  • @Bungogin Neither. It is Katla, who is actually their current lyric writer.

  • Great song, but it gets sucky in the more calm parts and with the clear voices.

  • Even JJesus of Nazareth likes this

  • @Juopa Jesus sucks!

  • oh hell, such a wonderful part at 3:11!

  • such an amazing and epic melody

  • Anyway, this band is amazing. I love the part around 2:24.

  • A lot of people here in northern Sweden still believe in trolls and goblins and other strange magic creatures, and why wouldn't we, THEY EXIST.

  • Christian-eating trolls are awesome, so are Vikings, <3 ensiferum. For Thor and Odin

  • @solame10101

the christian god got nailed to the cross, thor got a hammer, any questions?

    : D

  • Well, maybe the Christian god wasn't a pussy and could bear pain, unlike Thor the baby? Thor also sacrificed himself for the good of humanity by donning the dress of a woman to get his hammer back from the giants. Thrymskvida, I suppose you never read that one.

  • @RussianBarbarian

I red he story, with loki, who is always telling to the giant why his

bride,Thor costumed as goddess Freya, is eating so much

and all the other things. This was the story you ment, wasn´t it?

  • @RussianBarbarian

and is was a joke , don´t you know this funny black pics with white written te funny text?

there was one with this text, so just joking, BAM!

  • Grandi I Finntroll!!!!!

  • @Aldzzu widunder does not mean monster, it means wonder.

  • @Aldzzu Thanks

  • @Aldzzu i thought it meant something like miracle....

  • @Aldzzu Thats allmost right man, widunder can means more then a monster,it could be a spirit etc etc.. But ye we call it monster so are english readers understand :D

  • @Aldzzu Haha thats BS! It means "The Wonder Of Midnight" :p

    Sheezh

  • @niggasjit lol you are wrong haha wonder is like beautiful and widunder is another word for monster in swedish or a bad weather if you think that day like "vilket widunder till väder"
