  • Refreshing jam! :)

  • @DjentleDjiant Thanks man! :-)

  • what amp was used in the ER?

  • @shreddingjoris I actually think it was the AC30 with either the tube screamer or RATT pedal...

  • great playing man

  • @guitarczar15 Thanks brother! :)

  • really dig this. my 11rack is on its way. cool if i could get this preset from you to help get me started.

    keep up the great playing

    cheers

  • @FOXC810 Awesome man! Yeah i believe the preset is on the elevenrackpresets site and if I remember correctly its called something like 'fat and smooth' or something along those lines. You can search by 'author' and select my name and filter them that way and find it. Congrats man - holler at me if I can be any help and definitely get on the forum over there - lots of great guys who all can help you get going!

  • Great job and great seeing you guys today!

  • @bwwcpa Thanks brother! :) You too! Always enjoy talkin' to a guitar brother from another mother :)

  • ....super stuff Vai`!... Happy Xmas!

  • @omegalast800 Thanks brother! :)

  • dude, did you win? Another great video, and even better playing.

  • @jemesp Thanks! and YES can you believe it!? I did win! I was floored - I mean it's a guitar strap, but still to win a contest like that with as many great players as there are out there was very flattering for sure.

  • @vaisatchatrucci

awesome bro, your right lots of good talent across youtube ( im not one of them LOL ) Congrat's!!

  • @jemesp Thx man - I'm sure you're as talented as anyone else!

  • I'm going to see Joe in December at the house of blues in Boston cant wait. I've got him to sign my guitar too at Daddys junky music a while back. :)

  • @tpike32 Nice! Man he's so good live. My favorite show I saw was Joe, Dream Theater and Kings X... amazing... Joe played here at the Ryman Auditorium which was pretty great too though with G3 tour as well as solo... I can't ever get enough :)

  • All I can say is. SATCHARIFFIC!!!

  • @tpike32 LOLOL - thanks brother :) I do loves me some Satch! :)

  • Ah.........WOW! This is a very slick & groovin production & tune.......If I just listen to it............I find it amazing.........but when I watch it & listen to it I find it fricking amazing.........YOU should win the monkey lord strap thing bro.........again wow! Peace! X-Mann

  • @udamann88 Thanks bruddah! I appreciate that very much and coming from you a huge compliment! The best part is that it's a cool backing track from David Walliman who is a fellow YouTuber (really great guitar player) and just Eleven Rack on top and all I added was a little compression to help mesh the lead with the track and there you have it. One of the main reasons I LOVE the Eleven Rack? It's so dang EASY right?!

  • @vaisatchatrucci Hey.....& you won it right? Way cool....I know a celeb now.....Lol..Yea.......I'm friends w/ Walliman & he right up there at ur level son....Send me that B.T. if you have some time...I'd like a crack at it...Lol....I'd have to take a diff approach since I don't have the VSA skill set....but I'm sure I could make some music out of it...The best thing about ur video & tune (besides that long run where U tap) is the slides up & down & all that little in-between stuff (Pro-Level).

  • @udamann88 Thanks brotherman! I appreciate it! If you click the link where it says "this is a video response to" and read the info under the video there is a link to the backing track right there. I'd post it here but it wont let me post the link... :( Lemme know if you get it! PEACE BROTHAH!

  • Excellent playing and tune. Nice work!

  • @saturnfive Thanks man :)

  • is it wierd that i had multiple orgasms from this its fukin epic

  • @cantcountsrrz ROTFLMAO! Thats maybe something you might want to check into... LOL

  • What are you 11R settings on this?

  • @5150tt I believe I used the Plexi amp, delay and verb? I believe theres a preset on the elevenrackpresets site that I did for a Joe Bonamasa (sp?) preset which I'm almost positive I used or at least a variation of it.

  • Dude this is so fuckin' good. It's got FEEL. Oodles of it.

    -cessnapilot

  • @5150tt Thanks man! :)

  • Congratulations dude - email me with your details and I'll pass them on to Rachel ;-)

  • @RobChappers WHHHHHAAAAT!? Holy crap! Man thank you! I am STOKED! You have no idea how excited I am to just be chosen by YOU! Unbelievable brother thank you thank you! Couldn't be happier! Sending my info now :)

  • @taztherocker I just saw Chappers message! I can't believe it! thanks brother!

  • dude i will pissed al hell if you dont win that is a master piece the other entries are pure crap

    KEEP SHREDING

  • @aadame90 LOL - thanks man I hope I do too! Though I have to disagree, there's some other really killer entries I thought but thank you for the kudos bro :)

  • I really hope you win. That beautiful tone really took me by surprise :)

    -N

  • @JadeMonkeyBand Awww thanks! :) I hope I do too! It's going to be a tough decision for them for sure - lots of great players!

  • very tasty sir... if the signature strap comes your way, I know it will have a loving home!

  • @lauriemonk Thanks! Theres some other great entries so I'm not so sure at this point! It all comes down to personal preference I guess - fingers crossed! :)

  • Very nice theme to this piece with a smooth play style and great tone (but it's the Eleven rack...I've yet to hear something that doesn't sound good from it). I especially loved the use of chords to introduce your licks. Well done! :)

  • @udsahn Thanks man :) Yeah I love the Eleven Rack for recording especially! I appreciate the feedback very much thank you :)

  • Great playing! I listened to all the other entries and you you've definitely got my vote! Although, you make it look too easy so I am now morally required to hate your steenking guts ;)- Jk.. Rock on bro, may the Epic Monkey fling his celestial poo at you!

  • @kingofthebrittains LOLOL - Thanks! :) I think...? LOL ;)

  • Oh, I favorited Greg Howe too but he is not human.

  • @Whyrendog I agree... the man is an alien...! LOL

  • You did a great job btw...rarely do I favorite people improving over backings. Only one I have before was Tom Quayle. You should do a video on how to make videos that don't sound underwater because there are a lot of nice performances out there but always real bad clipping or incredibly low encoding that makes it hard to love. Makes no sense to be ok with it sounding that way but hey it helps the people that care about sound sound that much better lol.

  • @Whyrendog Thanks bro - I have to say though that I was one of those guys too for a long time... LOL All my early videos sound horrible just because you don't really anticipate anyone ACTUALLY watching them so you don't throw a lot of effort towards putting them together you know? I think thats the case with most guys, they just want to get the video up there quick and easy. I STILL want to because i'm lazy, but I'm trying to do better now that I have the means to make them a little better :)

  • I want to get that $1300 mod that makes the Eleven Rack sound like the Axe FX. Wait..YOU DON'T NEED IT! Good luck, I am looking for a good strap myself, my Schaler just ripped right out of my Godin (and they install the screws at the Godin factory). Thank god I was sitting down. I put a bigger screw in and now my strap wont fit onto it lol. So if you see vids of me holding it like a cello, that is why.

  • @Whyrendog LOL Me TOO!!! hehehehe Yeah I need a new strap real bad, I've had the same ONE strap since the early 90's and its time to upgrade :)

  • @vaisatchatrucci My strap looks a lot like the one you are trying to win. I actually just realized I need to just get some regular strap holders and use it that way because it is the most comfortable strap I have ever had really. It's an Onori 3 inch Soft Glove Leather Strap and is about $35 on Amazon. I use it mostly just to take the weight off the guitar because the xtSA is so heavy so I can't say what it's like to walk around. I've had more expensive neoprine straps that aren't as comfy.

  • Damn Brother...Win dat strap....sounded awesome

  • @DrGit Thanks G! :)

  • Very nice work indeed! Sounds like a proper song, not just improv - shows how good it is!

Certainly wouldn't be surprised if this wins, and it'd be well deserved!

  • @evilotto77cheese Well thank you bro! It was fun and I'm not much of an improv kinda guy so I was pleased with it barring the few sour notes here and there, but they almost worked in a jazz fusiony kinda way :) LOL

  • I f**ing LOVE the colour of that guitar man!!!

  • @MusicRockGuitar Dude I know - When I saw it at NAMM, it literally stopped me in my tracks and it was like the sun cut through the clouds and rays of light just came down upon it... LOL - the sad part is I'm totally serious... :) I was SO obsessed with it that whole day about how the hell I was going to come up with the money to order one as there was only another month left to place an order for one. Thank God I was able to make it work... Sold a bunch of stuff but hey... Worth it!

  • This is awesome. It's a shame for me because this backing track is more "Jazz" orientated to me, which just isn't my style. I think I'm gonna have to put a disclaimer at the start of my video just saying "if it sucks, don't worry, it's because it's bad."

  • @klummster88 Thanks man! Yeah not my typical "jam" either but it sorta worked out pretty good with my "style" if you can call it that! LOL

  • Why do you have to make it look so easy? :'(

This blows my entry out of the water. With a nuclear bomb,

I think this video is the best yet. There is absolutely nothing bad about it. Amazing playing, tone, guitar...

Has my vote. (If there was a voting system. :P)

  • @thesk8rman765 Well thank you sir! I enjoyed your submission too! it's all relative man - and believe me I hear about 50 things I hated about mine, bad notes, phrasing is a little boring to me, but I am so critical of myself it's not even funny, so thanks for taking the time to say so. Makes me feel a LOT better about myself! I appreciate that. :)

  • Awesome...

  • @taztherocker Thanks man! :)

  • You make it look so damn easy. Really pisses me off....LOL!! Just kidding. Great job - sure wish I had your skill.

  • @kcmoviemkr Dude! You got skills don't kid yourself! Love the people get ready and you piss me off too cause I wish I could play keys! :) I did a sample of people get ready to show a jeff beck type tone with the eleven rack on my soundclick page which is the soundclick address / my username here which is vaisatchatrucci. Let me know what you think cause you got a GREAT tone on that one you did. I enjoyed that!

  • @vaisatchatrucci - Thanks for the listen and comments. Means a lot...really does. I just try to play/create within my limits. Listened to the soundclick People Get Ready. You absolutley captured the sound and essence. VERY cool. I hadn't heard of the Elevenrack prior to viewing your stuff. Very cool. Sounds like the Elevenrack is geared towards Protools...at least in a DAW setting. Is that correct? Any ideas how it would respond in Logic?

Again dude...you got MAD skills! Look forward to more

  • @kcmoviemkr Yeah man - the pleasure was all mine! You have the exact same mentality as me - trying to go beyond your limits is strictly for practice time as there IS a place for that for sure - its how we improve. The Eleven Rack works great with Logic too as I used that previously until i got over the learning curve which didn't take long and I prefer ProTools now for the most part, but its really a toss up. Thanks so much again - I appreciate that brother and ditto! :)

  • Amazing playing, very fluid and captivating and fun to listen too. The million solar flares in the video makes me wonder if J.J. Abrams directed it for you. :)

  • @WheresMyCake LOLOLOL - thats hilarious :) thanks man I appreciate it!

  • Lovin' it, awesome tone, and playing.

  • @mojo292 Thanks dude! LOVE that PRS too BTW... I want one so bad, but I can't play them to save my life, I don't know what it is, so it always impresses me to see someone who can! I don't know if its the shape, or neck or what... pisses me off though I know that! There's a gold top 24 at a local shop here that I am DYING to have... gorgeous...

  • @vaisatchatrucci Thanks dude, I got an SC245 Charcoal burst on order, should be here in a few weeks, I hope it plays like this one does, I've never played anything that I like as well as this McCarty. Don't feel bad, I'm the same way with strats and most longer scaled guitars, like'em but just can't play them as well as my PRS. One thing I changed on mine that really made a difference is having jumbo frets installed, really made a huge difference, plays effortlessly.

  • Wow, epic stuff dude. I'm glad that I submitted my entry before I watched this, because otherwise I maybe wouldn't have dared to submit it ;)

  • @SjoerdvanO Thanks brother! I just watched yours too and you have KILLER phrasing - I loved your choice of notes, MUCH better than mine - very impressed!

  • Whoa, great playing dude! We rarely get o see you rip on your channel, when you started that Greg Howe-esque tapping my jaw hit the deck, so smooth and fluid.

    Great stuff mate!

  • @Adji87 Thanks so much! I appreciate that, yeah I try to stay away from things people perceive as self-indulgent and stick to what I know which is sharing my experience with gear and doing demo's. I've found with that you get a lot of haters who just troll around and like to tell everything how crappy they are for no reason. Thanks again - and yeah that tapping thing is EXACTLY where I learned that back in the day from a Greg Howe tab - thats awesome you picked up on that! :)

  • Great job, the song sounded great! The tone your getting out of the 11 Rack is insane to me. Hopefully I can pick one up next year, but for now because of funds I'm gonna have to settle for a Digitech GSP1101 or RP1000. Good luck in the contest.

  • @oldglamrocker Thanks bro! but hey, the GSP1101 is no slouch! nor the RP1000! both killer, but you'll LOVE the 11R... You'll get it when you play through it. It's got the feel for sure... and tones for days. The GSP1101 could probably compliment the 11R for it's FX too so that's something to consider as the 11R HAS FX but most people find them lacking in variety. I don't have so much of an issue with it, but I use my Nova or G-System to supplement it with FX it doesn't have too... Thanks! :)

  • well nice.....music man right????? you play really well

  • @j0sHoo7 Yes Music Man! GREAT instruments! Thanks so much - I appreciate it :)

  • This is thewinner here

  • @TheEnglishWay1 I dunno man! There's a lot of killer guitarists, and some who are probably working on submitting vid's as we speak - I can't wait to hear what else comes along. I've heard some really great players. I have the advantage of being able to use ProTools -vs- some 15 year old kid who doesn't have the means to make it SOUND so great, but slays me technically, so it's going to be hard to pick a winner I'm sure.

  • @flem187 Thanks man! (High Five!)

  • @flem187 Thanks bro :)

  • This is sooo amaizing!!Love the felling!!

I hope u win the strap is awsome!!!

  • @mykemztr Thank you so much! I do too! :) Already lots of killer entries though I have no idea how they go about picking a winner!?

  • A winner here

  • @suihkubad Thanks bro :)

  • don't need speed to sound awesome,

    good job.

  • @DennChooch Thanks man :) appreciate ya

  • God damn, I'll never be able to compete with phrasing like that!

  • @ChucklesMginty LOL - Thanks brother, I appreciate that! I'm sure you'll be fine! There's 10 year old kids out there who play 100x better then I'll ever be able to. Makes me depressed... LOL :)

  • Awesome! I don't know what the competition is all about and why, but I really enoyed your playing. Hopefully within a week, I'll get some money, and then the Eleven Rack + VoodooLab Ground Control Pro will be mine! Keep on \m/-ing

  • @trakir It's for a custom Monkey Lord (aka Rob Chappers - and if you don't know him, look him up - he's amazng and has a GREAT youtube channel) guitar strap from heavyleathernyc and I need a new strap...! :) Yeah man, go for the 11R - BEST purchase hands down I've made in the last 15 years... You'll love it...

  • Tone, technique, feel.. its all there. Love this one dude!!!

Have you posted it as a video response though?? Couldn't see it with all the other entries??

  • @harmonic12th Thanks man! for the comment AND for reminding me to post it as a video response... LOL duh! hahaha I'm such a mo-ron... :/

  • Dude you really need to put a lesson video together for us amatures. Those fast long runs are amazing. If that is the one thing i can learn this summer id be happy.

  • @shaqdaddy11 Well, what kind of stuff would you like to see? I have thought about doing that sort of thing, but I just always question if I have anything anyone would even be interested in learning - LOL!

  • @vaisatchatrucci Well you often play these long fast shred type runs where it seems like your jumping in and out of differant scales. They sound shred, yet they still sound very melodic and fit perfectly with the song. It would be nice if you could share the theory or thought process behind it and maybe share how you go around constructing those shred type long melodic runs.

  • @shaqdaddy11 Well, my problem is I have no idea what I am doing from a theory standpoint - LOL! You can hear several "bad" notes in there and for the most part I just get lucky and hit the right ones most of the time! Seriously though, I can teach techniques all day long, but I couldn't tell you the notes in a C Major scale - well actually I can 'cause that's easy - but anything beyond that I'm a total ignoramous! Quite sad actually! LOL! I basically just play what I hear in my head you know?

  • very nice

  • @guitarnoize Thank you! :)

  • fucking awesomee broo. always keeping its chill and melodic. and the petrucci is awesome!

  • @xMACx982 Thanks bro! Yeah I LOVE that guitar man... My original JP Mystic Dream hasn't gotten any love since the Dargie Delight came home... but a perfect backup nonetheless! :)

  • Porno Music XD

lol jks pretty good man, Hope you win.

  • @haropro2 thanks man! I hope I do too! I've had the same strap since 1994... LOL! Time to upgrade and Rachael makes outstanding straps AND how cool would it be to look down and have Monkey Lord looking right up at me!? Can you say win win situation? :) SO many great players out there though so I think my chances are slim at best but it's all in good fun and I enjoy the challenge!

  • @vaisatchatrucci 94 Jeez, the same year Mr. Cobain Died :( I don't really use my strap considering I only play in my room and I sit down to play so...

but yeah It would be pretty awesome to see that Monkey Lord looking at you, Fuck Rob Chappers is amazing, but yeah good luck, maybe one day I'll be as good as you.

  • @haropro2 Well, you're too kind and I'm sure you'll slay me in no time! Keep on rockin' \m/ and whip out that metronome! Yeah Chappers is pretty incredible...

  • what a beast of a player you are man. Your solos are always so melodid and smooth. Its like fine wine being poured into a glass.

  • @shaqdaddy11 Aww man! And what a beast of a kind man you are for saying that! Thanks brother! That means a lot. Truly.

  • @vaisatchatrucci Its the truth man.

  • Awesome tone dude! ... and very nice playing. Some pretty Satch sounding stuff..... I didn't like the video effect though. I hope you win! great. =)

  • @sportsportsport Thanks brother! I appreciate that :) Sorry bout the video effect... Just trying to make it a little more interesting to stare at for 3+ minutes rather than focusing on my guitar faces and motorhead tshirt... LOL :) Thanks bro

  • Do you have this 11Rack preset uploaded anywhere? I've been watching your other demo of it (partially why I finally deceided to but it) and I really like this smooth tone. By the way, I've already played my 11R for about 14 hours since I got it yesterday hehehe... fantastic device.

  • @MRJSTUDIOS I think its the Bonamassa preset I uploaded to elevenrackpresets so just search for it there and let me know if you find it. Yeah the 11R is highly addictive! :) I've never played this much or recorded as much in my life. Such an inspirational piece of gear. Congrats!

  • @vaisatchatrucci The Sloe Gin one? Cool, found it. Ya, the 11R is really inspiring in that way. I needed something to silently record with, and it fit the bill perfectly since I already use pro tools in my studio. I can't wait to try out all the integrated pro tools features it has.

  • @MRJSTUDIOS Sweet! Yeah I think its basically the same patch with the delay pulled back a little I think.... I can't get enough 11R :)
