I don't understand the back story of why Kelly became an alcoholic. The movie doesn't really go into detail with what happen to Kelly before rehab. She was drinking when she had the baby, so perhaps she wasn't ready to be a mother? Or maybe she was undergoing a lot of stress and pressure from touring and dealing with her marriage problems which lead to rehab. I remember when they were touring, James told Beau that Kelly used to be tough as nails and he doesn't know how she became so fragile.

if u watch his interview on "live with regis & kelly" and other ones he admits he never sang or played the guitar before but he practiced the guitar and in the studio singing for about 6 months prior to making the movie.

he didnt know how to deal with them...she wanted him to look at her the way she was before the addiction to her over and before the baby and he wasnt ready to do that just yet. lol i had to watch this movie a couple times before i actually understood what was going on with him and his problems. i dont think he can do a very good crying scene in a movie but other than that i think he's a good actor. i would like to see him in a movie where he is the main character though.

and as for Tim McGraw, someone is givin a script they read it and they decide if they like it and then they go to a casting audition and audition for the movie and the directors and stuff of the movie is who decides who is givin the part of the movie. But as for Tim McGraw's part in this, yes he does play the prick part in alot of the movies he's in, but particularly in this movie you have to look at what he was going through, he was going through his own problems with her losing the baby and
