I never had the privilege of doing Black Temple. In TBC I Arena'd 100% and didn't raid at all. It wasn't until WotLK I got back into the raiding scene (with WotLK's Arena being so bad) so I decided I wanted to see the instances I missed from TBC. Cue, setting up my own private server to see the content. And then I walked into the Karabor section and heard this: instant goosebumps.

@eldtagg I understand that. However, a lot of people who played WC3 and TFT would have felt a big connection with Arthas in WotLK. In WC3 I loved Illidan, he was a great character. However, the story telling in TBC did him no justice at all. It never gave you any real link between the moment he was defeated by Arthas in Icecrown to when he's back in the Black Temple. With WotLK I think the story telling was done perfectly, especially the ties in lore for those who never played WC3.

@clickingpinging I liked storming Blackwing Lair, Ahn'Qiraj, Black Temple, ICC and I have loved all the expansions plus the original. It's just nostalgia that seems to be blocking all the bad things about the previous games. Sure, TBC and Vanilla had their good points, but they had bad ones too. The only reason why you believe WotLK sucks so bad is because you're currently playing it. In Cata you'll think the exact same thing like everyone else has for the last 2 expansions now.

Wrath of the Lich King IS epic. If you want to go to BT just go there. The TBC locations are not deleted in wotlk and you can go to Karazhan, Black Temple or Battle for Mount Hyjal in every moment.

People who are zealous fans of TBC are hypocrites. If you really miss old times then go to Warcraft I Orcs & Humans, 'cause Warcraft II, III and WoW are just 'new and stupid'.

IMO, WoW classic seems pretty much like grinding and questing, same with BC except flying mounts and cool new environments, WotLK brought with it SO many awesome new elements to the game such as: in-game cinematics, vehicle combat, siege warfare, and awesome new types of quests that aren't just kill-n-collect. Games must evolve like everything must, or it would just get boring and nobody would play.
