@ASC9000 Ryu's style is a form of Karate. If you want to be technical, he doesn't use Ansatsuken as a style because that just means a martial art used for assassination. Ryu's fighting style has always been said as rooted in Ansatsuken, however he just fights with it in the form of Karate. Many games have had his style mentioned as Karate. Whatever it is, it's not Shotokan, that's made up by Capcom USA. I'd likely say he just fights with freestyle Karate.
