  • Harlem was a haven for black gangsters during and after prohibition and Italians families would sometimes do business with them

  • The most important thing in business is honesty, integrity, hardwork... family... never forgetting where we came from.

  • @RollsRoyceFlorida Yeah and dealing drugs. LOL. Nothing to admire about these gangsta people or their stories. All they do is sell drugs to the very community they claim to respect. And they get kids caught up in their death squad.

  • @whateverman181 "Judges, lawyers, cops, politicians. They stop bringing dope into this country, about a hundred thousand people are gonna be out of a job"

  • very good movie.

  • This movie is only good if you are a big Denzel Washington fan, anyone else and it aint shit

  • @elitedonk . Totally agree with u, I watched it cuz of Denzel

  • This is the most overrated movies

  • @williemetoyer1 its a true story

  • @azrRayRay But the movie was not that good true story or not

  • @williemetoyer1

i agree. They took a really good story and did nothing with it..

  • @loueyikpeba Fail of u 60% is not true of this movie Simple simon ass motherfocker

  • @Dutchisles99 what r u saying??

  • @loueyikpeba That 60% of the story is not true and Simple simon ass motherfocker = What Frank lucas says @ a scene that he kills his cousin whit a piano

  • Denzel would have done Bumpy proud : )

  • new jack city.

  • Ma Man

  • My Man

  • Which song is this in the background, please?

  • @Jabotinskaya "Ain't No Love in the Heart of the City" by Bobby "Blue" Bland. He's my favorite blues singer.

  • @mealinesam Thank you very much :-)

  • @mealinesam actually this version is the one with Jay-z it has the same title though

  • Is this the one movie where Denzel Washington says "My man"?

  • @Fanofcartoons1994 It is, It's cool when he says it , I'm sure he does it in more than one movie.

  • /watch?v=uP14zaz6fIM

  • my man

  • favorite film by far

  • The man i worked for had 1 of the biggest companys in NY city,

he didnt own his own company. w.man owned it so they owned him.

    " Nobody owns me though " -- G shit

    twitter @Kinoshi44htown

  • tonight on itv1 .. enjoy :)

  • one of the best movies iv ever seen denzil washington perfect for this, tupac would of been better for the part though lol

  • This film is very very very excellent!!!!!

  • I laugh how black people see this Frank as some sort of hero..but if it was anyone else. Well, that'd be just how the white man floods black neighborhoods with drugs to eradicate the black man...

  • @LDKBBAB what the hell

  • @LDKBBAB guess your forgetting that frank amplified a problem that he did not create.

  • @bucks100plus So, who created it?

  • @LDKBBAB Figure out who first brought drugs into the country and who allowed it. All lucas did was sell dope at a cheaper price. Addicts would still have gotten drugs some other way, with or without him. The US government, the real american gangsters. Its just... good business.

  • It's a classic

  • "You Are What You Are In This World And That's Either One Or Two Things. Either You're Some Body Or You Ain't No Body. This M'y Home, M'y Country, Frank Lucas Dont Run From No Body"

    Frank Lucas/Denzel Washington- American Gangster

  • Comment removed

  • American Gangster = Black Godfather

  • the thing that most amaze me, is that this is based on a true story!

  • I dont get this movie, this guy commits mass murder yet he only get 15 years because he snitched on everyone who worked for him?

  • @coolman5242 It's because he helped the cops build cases against the people who were committing the same crimes...if u noticed in the movie there were crooked cops in on the drug dealing & other gangsters that were connected to Frank Lucas. He ratted on people who weren't all that on his side, but took part in his same lifestyle.

  • i like this film more then scarface, cause frank lucas is a gentleman & not a lunatic like tony montana...

  • @TheAnonymousAdvocate his portrayal as a gentleman was "hollywood", Frank Lucas was just a hustler who got lucky. ****take the brunch scene; do you think the real Frank Lucas walked up to "Tango" in broad daylight, killed him, and then came back and sat down and ordered his meal? hollywood bullsh*t

  • @BriannaStar1234 yeah that's actually a good point

  • @TheAnonymousAdvocate Nope that's where you're wrong. The restaurant scene was obviously exaggerated, but Frank Lucas was much more of a gentleman than the character Tony Montana. Frank Lucas was a a big boy in the social circle, he hung out with socialites and high-ranking people often, he obviously wasn't a raving lunatic around them.

  • wat a year for hollywood

    American gangster

    there will be blood

    no country for old men

    300

    the bourne ultimatum

  • @ruthlessroshan None of those are good besides American Gangster, and 300. Funny that you said that for the worst year. FOCKING PUSSY ASS NIGGER I WILL FOCK YOU UP BITCH!!!!!!

  • @Cunkdoat 1. Calm your tits

    2. You are one dumb fuck

  • @TheFoxxxyMama Chyuu want tuu fite about it?

  • @Cunkdoat *sigh* no, not really troll

  • Careful there Denzel, thats Ben Wade your talking to.

  • what is the name of the song at 0:50 please tell me

  • @gorky424 Heart of The City by Jay-Z

  • i see Russell scumbag Crowe is also in it then, yeah just suits him, i don't know what happens in this film but i hope he gets shot and killed in it

i find it hard to like someone who walks into a hotel and bashes the phone at someones head

  • @MYBIGKINDHEART I don't really understand what Russell Crowe's personal life or problems has to do with his performance in this movie or why it bothers you so much? You're making Russ sound psychotic when you don't tell the rest of the story, and it's not like he just randomly walks around smacking people in the face with phones. Not to mention, it happened 6 years ago and he apologized for it. What else do you want from him or are you just that perfect?

  • @Selah4Jah i don't ever remember him apologizing for it and secondly i heard he did it on purpous

it's just that also i heard in another incident that this lady saw him at a table and offered him a drink or something and he told her to fuckoff which i don't think is very nice thing to do or say if someone offers you something

at least if he wasn't interested he could've said it in a polite way

and no i'm not perfect and no one is but i don't like people like him and his personality

  • @Selah4Jah i think i would find it very difficult to get along with him and if i was an actor then i'd most likely avoid any parts with him in it and possibly avoid any films with him in them

and as being i don't take any shit from anyone like this there would no doubt unfortunately be problems as with people like that you never know where you are

  • @MYBIGKINDHEART i don't even know how to respond to this because i can't make any sense of it. Anyways nice user name btw, it flows well with the "I don't take shit from anyone" statement.

  • @Selah4Jah i simply said the comment that i did as some people like to wind people up sometimes and that's what pisses me off but other than that i do have exactly as my user name states

  • Best black male actor.. then followed by Will Smith

  • My Man

  • My Man

  • Want to own this page? Contact me NOW!!

  • @CubaGoodingJunior i want to own your page. good business.

  • I knew this movie was going to epic the moment the Jay-Z song kicked in and Denzel walked towards the screen and shot the gun.

  • this is gangster, rapping is not gangster... I don't care how many times u insult bitches or talk ''shit'', this is the real deal..

  • Comment removed

  • overrated, hes better in training day

  • Thumbs up if Denzel Washington is your fav actor! :D

  • He's not my favourite actor of all time by the way.

    Oh, no?

  • @LVDVSMAGNVS i am him :D nice to mee you too :D

  • i like the trailer

  • i like the trailer

  • American Gangster>Scarface. Scarface is good but just a bunch of constant swearing. American Gangster takes intelligence. My Fav gangster film or at least tied with the Godfather and Goodfellas.

  • @Sinco1967....nah man.....I love American Ganster and Denzel is one of my favourites, but nothing can beat Scarface....wat a movie...Tony Montana wat a legend!!

  • @crazybones2009 Ye I know what your saying. Scarface was Great But I like the intelligence that AG has just my opinion though?

  • @Sinco1967...cool thats understandable, I respect that...but for most ppl Scarface is the alltime legend in gangster movies not American Gangster

  • @crazybones2009 True. Your right like every celebrity has a poster of tony montana in their house.

  • @Sinco1967...Tony Montana (Scarface), Don Corleone (God Father), Alonzo Harris (Training Day)...are my all time Fav Gangster characters

  • @crazybones2009 lol alonzo harris is a cop, he aint no gangsta

  • @crazybones2009 Exactly!

  • @Sinco1967 I would still pick Scarface over American Gangster, although I love American Gangster also

  • T.I, Denzel & Russells wives are SOO LUCKY!<3

  • arab mafia

  • @djromancia98 fuckin pussy ass terrorists

  • @K1asH3r fuck u son of bitch u stupid pig

  • Oh gosh look at T I with hair ,,,,, :))

  • THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL SNITCHING REAL TALK frank lucas is not a real G

  • @joekelmen I don't think snitching on cops matters you fucking moron...

  • @007toft007 omg fuck god you dumb motherfucker listen tool this person set everybody up all the dirty cops and the people who he worked with. you stupid cunt !!!!

  • @joekelmen No he didn't snitch on the people he worked with stfu and take a seat you old angry bastard

  • name of the song: Jay - Z - Heart of the city

  • This film is mawkishly bad. Not BAAAD, as in Kick-ass, but Bad as in Banal, as in embarrassing, hackneyed: Crowe's thick Australian accent creeps through in all the wrong places, his acting is anything but credible. This flick makes Machete look like a serious melodrama: I find myself laughing at the film's flaccid attempt to take itself -( worse, it's audience) - seriously! Junkies scratching their arms, laughable extras...It's Goodfellas with a labotomy, and that's being kind!

  • anyone kno the name of the song that rza was playing piano

  • @taterto253 Heart of the city

  • whats the name of the song?

  • one of the few trailers that give the move the justice it deserves. Aint no love-

  • this movies is completely badass but what makes it even better is showing a black man rise to be one of the most powerful men in NYC during a time of racism which makes it a thousand times more badass

  • I hate how Hollywood always promotes mafia like gangsters while makes fun of street gangs. Just like the ending of this film, when he gets released from prison, he runs into a bunch of street niggas and they place them both side by side. The truth is the majority of gangs in America are street guys who aren't part of some Mob.

  • @Sun6Tzu yeah but this was at the time where Frank Lucas actually was around and it's a great scene, it shows you the comparison of the two different gangs. The fact they thought Frank was an average guy they were gonna give him a bit of trouble and a bad look. Now in our modern day yeah most gangs are street gangs, but not then.

  • HEART OF THE CITTTTTYYYYY!!!!!!!

  • My MAN!

  • want to buy this movie? brand new 3 disc collector's edition on amazon come see my video inbox me for questions

  • God bless you Dencel Washington

  • That !! is your house Mom !

  • "That's $25,000.00 alpaca. You blot that shit. Put the club soda on there." ... "And take them God-damned sunglasses off."

  • what the fuck, there was never a american mafia before the 70's, the only mafia was the italians and the irish, they are the real gangsters

  • @lachlanthelunatic I don't think this was before the 70's..

  • @lachlanthelunatic True, America is a melting pot. I happen to be Scottish, Japanese, Italian, Mexican, German, English, French and Irish. I can tell you that the mafia is basically about culture, connections and cash. The idea of an American mafia is like the idea of a man from Earth. America is home to many mafias. But mostly the Italian Mafia (Cosa Nostra) and the Irish mob.

  • Wanna hear a joke?

    T.I. with hair.

  • "see you are what you are in this world and either one or two things,

either you're somebody or you aint nobody"

  • @gat0rbball they made the movie because he was smart the us was in war with vietnam and he snuck in the drugs throw dead american soldiers i mean i could never of thought of that

  • @granadost Yea. Goes back to the idea of no moral fiber. The guy was a sick son of a bitch to put the drugs in people's bodies. DEAD American boys.

  • @gat0rbball i was like no way that is so mess up

  • @le0zar na i have to give it to Carrillo Fuentes 27 private Boeing 727

  • sorry but this movie was really borin and uninteresting. goodfellas, casino, scarface, and the god father are true gangster movies not this nigger shit

black people, stick with your gangster movies that r bout sellin skimmpy shit on the corners lol

  • @HENNESYnDRO - Plz stfu. I'm not black but plz stfu. And people wonder what's wrong with the world these days.

  • @HENNESYnDRO Hennesy, what bullshit are you talking about? This man was one of the greatest drug lords in history? Don't talk about corners when I come there and bust your lip open.

  • @DavidTheCatholic greatest drug lord in history? haha look up pablo escobar or el chapo fucking idiot u dont know shit

  • @HENNESYnDRO i said he was one of the best drug lords in history. Pablo Escobar was rich because the police was shit in his country and in U.S the police were very strong and he still managed to survive it.

  • @DavidTheCatholic last year they caught an american mexican drug lord called the "barbie" and he made 5x way more than this guy. But he is ONE of the best but this movie was boring and lame, u cant deny that

  • @DavidTheCatholic last year they caught an american mexican drug lord called the "barbie" and he made 5x way more than this guy. Please dont compare this guy to the real drug lords in the world, people just liked him because he was BLACK drug lord, excuse me i meant KINGPIN cuz he dont make it as a drug lord

  • @DavidTheCatholic Carrillo Fuentes he was the first he had 27 private Boeing 727

  • @HENNESYnDRO dont forget Carrillo Fuentes :)
