For some reason Simon never liked Anthony...Simon's comment about the Polar Bear...argh. Anthony is fluent in Spanish..wish he had sung the song in Spanish and see what Simon would say. Anthony has an amazing voice!
@aok82 Simon was such an ass to everyone this season...except Carrie. While Carrie is talented, she was often a stiff stage presence and occasionally a vocal trainwreck (see Top 7 + 8, plus one or two others). I didn't watch back then, but I can't comprehend why the supremely talented Nikko and Vonzell never got proper credit from him for their better performances--and that goes for Anthony as well, on this and his Top 6 + Top 4 performances. Simon is such a Puppetmaster, roflmao. Ass clown!
@cinemaniac86 i think the problems arose when the judges made Anthony ditch the glasses. Come on, the fans loved Anthony with the glasses why did he ditch the glasses after the one week, do you suppose it is the reason he didn't win since he got rid of the glasses for a few performances. After that happened i think he became less recognizable. If he had kept the glasses on he would have won.
Simon never hated Anthony! I remember him saying in one episode that he did like him it's just that his singing doesnt improve that much each week. I like Anthony myself but to me Simon was telling the truth but SOMETIMES he was wrong tho
I agree, this is one of my favorite Anthony performances. Simon really needed to quit comparing Anthony to Clay. I love them both, but they really aren't amazingly alike. And I always thought the moment with Ryan at the end was weird,too, FufuTofu.
Interesting how Simon brings back the whole Clay "greece" thing and he claims he can't remember most of the performances. I guess Clay is an exception. lol.
The only song that he performed on the show that I liked (performance/vocal wise)...one thing that I don't get is why he talks so much about coming to America when he was 9...I came to Canada when I was younger but you don't see me flaunting it and reminding everyone about it...maybe it's the producers, I don't know...

This guy is good but Clay is so much better. Clay's voice is so pure and unique and always sing with great phrasing.
