they use vcoder in the backing tracks (lets break it down, lets break it down etc)

but, yeah.FOr 90% of lead vocals, its all autotuned.

exactly. lots of people get the two confused. and also obviously many people think that bands that use autotune can't sing. this isnt true though, there's alot of people out there are perfect singers but still use autotune just for the effect.
