to bigsleep32 -no current fighters or fighters who have recently retired are in the IBHOF so saying he hasnt fought any hall of famers is an obvious statement, unless you were thinking he may have fought muhammad ali or maybe you had expected him to fight a recent IBHOF inductee like lennox lewis? so no he hasnt fought ANY hall of famers, not a suprise. he HAS fought four fighters that i could see entering the IBHOF at some point, they are:eubank, hopkins, roy jones& kessler.

I'm new to boxing, question for all the Calzaghe fans or just boxing fans. How many "hall of fame" fighters did Calzaghe fight in their prime? Because reviewing his record I couldn't find any and I keep seeing all these people calling him a "legend" and a truly great fighter.

Joe was a great boxer. Every cunt shat it to take him on. In the US they thought Lacy would be to powerful for him, but he smacked him around like a misbehaving child. Over 1000 punches landed. Not a lot of power but if you hit a guy that often then it's gonna hurt. Cunt got schooled.

But as far as people ducking him, he never left Wales do you expect the great champs like Roy or Hopkins or Taylor or Toney, ect to come to Wales to fight a fighter that was totally unknown to American fight fans? Boxing is about money, Calzaghe new the US is where the $ was and he never came here till he was 36 and then he retired when he was still good

Joe Calzaghe is the most overrated boxer of the last 50 years. He isn't even undefeated. Joe Calzaghe lost to Reid, and lost to Hopkins. Hopkins clearly beat Calfaggy. B-hops landed the cleaner, harder more effective punches throughout!
