  • He is a disgrace to jewry .. jewish people are not all like this animal

  • Borat is just a attempt to portray antisemites as dumb people

  • Comment removed

  • @artregeous he is a same jew as hitler was(ashkenazi) .. and he love his jews so much as a hitler did mustash ...

  • the richest people on the planet and still they can make you feel sorry for them. Now this is the power of media!!!

  • 'So a Jew can't be a hero? Is all of youtube bigoted?'

I noticed that Jews are the most hated on You tube - check out the comments. Luckily, I don't meet this kind of racism in real life.

  • What are you, some kind of Jew-lover or something?

  • 'What are you, some kind of Jew-lover or something?' So what.

  • lol... i thought muslims are the most hated.

  • she is so hot!!! wow!!

    hay hay hay. ;D Gh

  • hope he will die soon

  • im sorry u were born jewish

  • So a Jew can't be a hero? Is all of youtube bigoted?

  • leave Israel alone u fukin palestinian mothafukers!!!

  • That music at the beggining makes me laugh!! :-D

  • lmaooo it sounds like a chicken is dying..

  • Haha! Yeah it does! :D

  • Throw the jew down the welll so my country can be freeedddddddddd..........

    Country = palestine?

  • Seeing as Israel has existed longer than Palestine I wouldn't think so.

  • Israels just a word you ignorant fool. The people who inhabited whats now Israel weren't those light skinned racist pieces of shit who call themselves jews.

  • I defy you to prove ignorancy.

Israel has existed since about 2000BC.

It may now be filled by Zionists rather than Jews, but it was originally inhabited by Jews and the tribes of Judea.

  • actually palestine is not really a country....

    it's an autonomy.

if it was a country even a single terror act against israel was considered a war decleration and israel had the right to attack them back without interferance from other countries like today.... sad but true...

  • Isreal stole their country in the 40's when Isreal was created I believe, seems a shame that Isreal doesn't seem to feel bad for the people who lost a country so they could gain one. Messy situation overall really.

  • There never was a palestin country.

The Palestine area takes it name from some antient peaple who settled in Gasa area about 3000 years ago and hove nothing in common with the Arabs living in Israel today.

Those Arabs never been a nation and mostly have nothing in common except the islamic faith.

Israel always sateled by decent Jewish population who was planting and building the country while arabs lived as savage, rubbering and stilling (that have not changed by the way till today).

  • i was referring to white texans, not you 'pablo'

  • I am white dude, i thought you were all tolerant, what does sin color have to do with anything?

  • honkey

  • stating the obvious but i guess the texans need it to be spelled out

  • I find it very interesting that you put this video together. To the average American what the movie "Borat" is about is narrowed down to the comedy. What people don't see is that Sacha Baron Cohen is making fun of their own primitive views. I think there's an important message hidden between the scenes that we should not miss, and an aspect of it is anti-Semitism.

  • good work on the video. and youre right!

  • Nice video.

I can honestly say that all of my favourite comedians are Jews.

    Cohen, Allen, Caesar and Brooks

  • A fine example of ignorance.

  • Lol I bet that was Cohen, he can still be Borat online without people recognizing him

  • of course people are indifferent about antisemitism in the US,they are the richest people in US,they own all the media, bank's,movie making industry so why whould they care?

  • who give's a fuck about the jew's!10time's more russians died in ww2 than jew's,you don't see them makin milions of movie's about that

  • There were a lot of Jewish people who have died in Germany, Poland etc. But keep in mind their are a lot of Jewish people who died in Russia as well. There are still a lot of Jewish people who live in Russia.

  • and 30 million christians died there 2

  • thanks for your making-it-obvious hour - congrats, you killed the funny

  • and you are as dumb as all fuck! and have no sense of humour obviously!

  • what song did you use at about 1:50

  • It's a josh groban song.

  • Very nice clip, my compliments! I don't know if he is a hero, but he's certainly very brave in putting himself in such situations in which one might wonder if he can get out alive! O__o

But do you think that all the sketches in "Borat" were authentic? I mean for example the one with the guys in the caravan, how could they welcome him without suspecting anything............. while being filmed?

  • Sacha Baron Cohen is an intelligent person, he gets his political points across in comedic ways. Unfortunately most people can't get past the satire and irony to see that.

  • Everyone should just throw away their religious tendencies and be like nature intended! It would be so much simpler.

  • Does anyone know the name of the song for Borat's sketches?

  • no but its on the borat soundtrack that you can get on itunes.

  • im a russian jew but i have agree with you.

  • Thank you for putting this video on. It articulates the reason behind the character and the movie. I think most intelligent people got it immediately. How people behave, what they really think, priceless!

  • i dont understand what you mean. i said the same thing. i live here in germany and everything is fine. and the people are interested when im telling that im jewish. but it is not that im running on the street, yelling hello im a jew. you have to be carefull, because the old people in small citys here are very conservative.

  • haha Melvin Gibsons.

  • indifferent to anti-semitism? Of course that's the way it should be for future generations. Enough with the fear and hatred. Above all jewish are human beings not a protected specie...

  • careful talking shit about americans. if not for us, europe would be in the same sad state as africa. ever heard of the marshall plan, asshole? americans are just more subtle in their demeanor than most europeans, but that's no reason to confuse us as being oblivious and ignorant

  • you can coax indifference to nearly anything out of most americans. americans are sheep

  • brilliant perspective this film, man. death to all anti-semites. not our fault that some cocksuckers don't want to work as hard as many of us jews do in order to be as successful as us

  • that's classic gypsy music in the beginning

  • Uh, weird justaposition of very serious content with Baron Cohen's brilliant but irreverent comedy...I would try to maintain a more consistently serious tone, maybe with a more serious introduction. The transitions into comedic clips are kind of awkward and could have been managed better. I really think a voice-over would suit this video much better than the text scrolling across the screen.

  • why do so many americans have problems with jews. im a jew, i live in germany. im a normal guy. is it so because many people are jealous, because so many jews are very successfull and got lot of money. instead of beefing the whole time the peolple should work hard so they can get rich too.

  • What about antisemitism in Germany? Did you have such experiences?

Also, ich wohne in Göttingen.

  • I don't really get that. In my school, people are so interested when they learn that I'm Jewish, and they ask lots of questions, and think that it's neat.

  • His mother is Iranian

  • yeah but she is an iranian jew who went to israel after its creation. today she is of israeli nationality, not iranian

  • why cant we all just get along ....

  • The hatred of the Jews by some, in my estimation, is a tragic mistake that islargely due to fear of facing the following: (1)minorities, (2)strong competitors,

(3)different cultural orthodoxies and(4)people who speak truth to power.

  • Actually it is largely due to God's will according to the Jews themselves. Read the Old Testament. I mean, he is God's chosen race after all so in hindsight the holocaust was just God's way of manipulating humans/throwing their lives away to make Him look divinely wise beyond all our comprehension...

  • "Not every jew has to be against palestinians having freedom they just have to be apathetic." Its amazing how a group of people who have been prosecuted in the past would now inflict a similiar crime on another set of people. Throw the jew down the well so the Palestinians can be free (maybe this rings true).

  • Out of the holocaust Germans and Germany lost their soul while the Jewish gained a nation...at anothers expense. Are the Israelis now jepardising their soles.

Oh, Sasha is not a hero. Far from it but very clever indeed.

  • To say that you are a lost soul would be a gross underestimation.

  • I am from israel & I love borat.

  • I am a bit tired of all this anti-Semitism crap and these cheesy clips... hell, does anybody give a beep about those being anti-communist or anti-Chinese? It's amazing how people choose to ignore present day struggles taking place all around the world, being so consumed of past tragedies... as if Jews were the only victims of WWII. Germans had their noses rubbed too hard and too long about that, who's going to be held responsible for being apathetic regarding native Americans, Vietnam, Iraq?

  • i find myself laughing at his comedy, not out of anti-semitism, but that the fun is being made at the expense of people's own biases. Laughing at others' bigotry is not an emotion worth invoking guilt over.

  • I'm jewish myself, and I thought this film was hilarious, even the anti-semetic remarks. Now I see this in a new light. Nice work.

  • brilliant short film-hat's off to you!

  • I see him as a British comedian rather than a Jewish one, very much in the tradition of British satirical humour. He's very funny, but a hero?. It's pretty absurd to call someone a hero on that basis. I like the fact that he brings out anti-Gypsy and anti-gay prejudice and doubt (although I do not know) that he is quite as exclusively concerned with antisemitism as you imagine. It would be interesting to know what his take is on Israeli racists.

  • The fact that you don't want to see him as a jewish comedian is probably linked with your last phrase. It's exactly this disguised anti-Israel that makes today's antisemitism.

  • It would be more to do with the fact that we are from the same city and that cities make people rather than there ethnic ancestry (the later being a racist notion). I doubt that he see himself as 'A Jewish comedian' any more than Philip Roth sees himself as 'A Jewish novelist'. I don't think he is that simple. You can loath Israel's murderous foreign policy (as many Jews do) and loath antisemitism.

  • My comments run backward... the bottom most is where you should start reading. Sorry for any confusion.

  • wow truly a new way to look at such a controversial topic- a view in the positive light

  • I also think his work is great. Because for the 'normal American' the germans are still nazis. But ain't it funny that garmany is a multi-cultural being with all people of europe as members which shows that germany CAN NOT BE ANTI-SEMIT while the AMERICANS showed the whole whole world how 'open to unknown' they are. NEVER judge about a nation which you don't know.

peaceful greatings from a foreigner in germany

  • Don't be naive, Germany has always been and will always be anti-Semitic. It's just that officialy they are not allowed to exhibit their anti-Semitism anymore. And they are responsible for having changed, or more like destroyed, the face of Europe forever.

  • Have you ever been to Germany?

I know jewish germans but if never met an antisemitic german.

Well, of course there are some, like in every other european country......

  • i live in germany for almost 27 years. and i fell very comfortable here. never had problems because of my religion.

  • yeh, you can say that now. not in 1930-1945 u couldnt

  • I have been to Germany. And I stand by what I said. It's a fact, not my opinion.

  • This short film was supposed to be controversial and thought provoking. My goal was to get people to step back and look at something in a different perspective. I hope I accomplished that. Thanks, Alex

  • Alex, good job!

  • I apologize for incorrectly spelling sacha baron cohen's name throughout the short film (I spelled it Sascha). Thank you for watching, whether you agree or disagree

  • I have to completely disagree. By portraying non-Jewish Americans who 'let their guard down' as anti-Semitic troglodytes, Cohen reinforces a negative stereotype about America, namely that it is just as hostile to and prone to violence against Jews as any other nation where Jews have lived.

  • What Cohen shows is what America is. Violence or no violence, it's an ignorant, brainwashed and self-righteous society.

  • The truth is that America, particularly in the 21st century, is the most welcoming and friendly place to the Jewish people in the world beyond our homeland and that this is, in no small part, reflected by the sympathy the average American has for the plight of Israel and has always had for the suffering of the Jews.

  • In a world where the worst sort of anti-Semitic conspiracies are openly traded on the Muslim news media and little children across the Middle East, including the territories, are indoctrinated to believe that Jews are vile and satanic, it is dangerously naive to shift the focus to the often harmless, though obnoxious, behavior of the few Americans that Cohen is able to goad into playing along with him.

  • Though this is not an apology for the disappointing images Cohen captures through his comedy, this is a reminder that we, as the remnant of the Jewish people, face an existential threat from the retrograde societies of the Middle East, particularly when they move to acquire doomsday technology.

Cohen is not a Jewish hero - he's a shortsighted comedian mocking the last friend the Jewish people have in the world. It's truly a shame.

  • Sascha Baron Cohen is certainly a Jewish Hero. I only wish others truly understood the magnitude of his message.

  • Indeed.
