I am impressed! Jackson often forgets the lyrics to his own songs. I love him, though. I have seen him many times and would never pass up a chance to see him again and again.
he was trully amazing: and i am sorry that i said " we", i should have said, "so many of us-including myself-did'nt get him when he was alive. i regret not showing my support and recognizing his greatness before his death
this man did love Warren. What he did and tried to do for Warren's career was selfless and honorable. too bad we just did'nt get it until Warren was dead. Zevon's was the most underappreciated rock mucian/song-writers of our time. not by the critics-they got him...but we did not
Please speak for yourself, "we" got it the instant the piano intro to Frank and Jesse James was cued up on the LP but you're right, Jackson Browne pressed Geffen to make the WZ record, using the best musicians on the west coast, with cameo appearances from the heavy hitters of the time... Linda Ronstadt, David Lindley's iconic lap steel and fiddle, and the Beach Boys... brought in to sing ONE word,"California" (in full harmony) on Desperadoes Under the Eves; a stroke of genius and humor.
He has 16 guitars on stage... how flipping cool

...even though I knew it was coming, when he started to play the first licks from the song, I felt chills run through me!

Love to see him still spreading the word of his fallen but brilliant friend.
Two quality musicians living on in one song.
