You guys leaving negative comments on his stance might be a little suprised at how much closer his stance is to optimum than your own. Check out speed shooting competitions. They keep there elbows cocked and the firearm in the center. Looks strange but VERY effective. The recoil becomes a wobble instead of a jump, and its much more managible. But the g21 is so freakin sweet... you can pretty much hold it however you want.
You dont have to keep your arms straight.. I usually keep my right arm straight and left bend but sometimes I extend both arms and bend them slightly when I shoot..
look up todd jarret on here. there is a video on how to hold a pistol properly. he is a professional shooter in competition. im not trying to start something, just trying to be informational. holding a pistol properly can and usually does help to control recoil and improve accuracy
I have a 21sf with the pic rail and im very dissapointed that blackhawk doesnt make a holster for it yet. I know that comp tac makes one. Cant say enough good things about the gun though
I must say that after shooting other handguns I will never own anything except a glock. They are very reliable and I personally have never had my 21 malfunction on me even with over 5000 rounds fired through it. All of our officers carry glocks and they do get the job done.
Problem is most LEO's cant shoot for spit. Not a shot at you , just a General observation. Most cops have never even fired a gun prior to the academy.
I don't know much about Glocks, but i've enlisted into the Army Reserve so i'm sure i'll get some experience with one sooner or later. I've heard mixed things about Glocks, but I want to find out for myself.
You'll find no shortage of opinions when it comes to firearms. A lot of departments have standardized on Glock. I think Glock is good for law enforcement for a few reasons 1) It's simple, no external safety, no hammer to cock or decock. 2) It's reliable 3) Every trigger pull is the same as opposed to a typical double action auto where the first round is double action and the rest are single action.
Nice video. Are Glocks reliable? I've heard people saying that they are the best pistol, and I've heard people saying they absolutelly suck. Also, is this your department's main firearm?
YMMV, my advice is to find one you like and use it. Personally, I like Sig and can shoot better with it than a Glock but I know people who say the opposite too.
I can shoot better with beretta, sig, springfield, but my duty glock is always my choice because i know when i pull the trigger its going to shoot, dont have to worry about anything else when it counts, no one can shoot well under stress anyway so your accuracy at the range isnt going to matter

@27722700: Sorry if I misinterpreted, but you joined the Army Reserve JUST to find experience with a Glock? Just find a gun range nearby, dude. xD

Glocks are the ugliest looking guns in the world, with an hilarious "DA" system.
Btw they are reliable gun.

That 21 sf has some kick, it's hard to unload fast and try to stay on target at 20yards. Imma try the glock 22 (40cal) so how that works.

And I'd be shocked if half of them could disassemble their weapon beyond a basic field strip... even with a Glock.

Yea Ive heard that. Great guns though, i rented one a while back.

The Army uses the Beretta M9 9mm last time I checked. Don't plan on getting any Glock experience there.
