they are .giff files most likely. Pictures are generally .jpeg files. In other words, you won't be able to download them at pics because they're not pics, but animations.

This is just a justification brought to you by Amy. According to me, the truth was that she wanted to demonstrate to Ben (or to some other asshole she met in her life) that she's totally changed: Growing up as artist doesn't mean singing something totally different. "The open door" songs are too much acid to belong to a melodical band like "Evanescence".

I'm talking about something called "coherence". For istance, Britney Spears can't sing songs like Christina Aguilera's.

So you think you know the RIGHT way that evanescence should sound like? What kind of band would evanescence be if everything sounded the same. Growing as an artist DOES means taking new risks and trying new things. Just compare britney in 1999 to britney now. Regardless of the argument between incoherence or maturity, your still saying that difference=bad. So what if they're a little more acrimonious, they're still a rocking gothic metal band with their signature haunt like they always were.

The RIGHT way that evanescence should sound like is melodical, not acid, because they are not a metal band, they're a melodical rock musical group. Britney changed just a little bit than 1999, instead of Evanescence, who have totally changed their style. You're right, growing up means taking new risks, but it's even true that Amy recorded TOD because she was sure that her fans would like it anyway. And yes, great difference=uncoherence=she didn't love her music enough.

R u saying that metal can't be melodic? Just look at kamelot, nightwish, epica, him. Songs like your star, cloud nine, weight od the world, good enough actually have very hard melodies. Maybe Amy just wanted to try something new which is completely natural for an artist. She's always been that way. Your not dissing them on their change between origin and fallen which are entirely different from eachother. What do you mean she doesn't love her music, thats the whole world of a musician.

I surrender, just because we'll never completely agree about this. Trust me, I wonder why many Ev. fans love TOD, even if they knew Amy with "Origin". Yes, metal can be melodical, but not the way an Evanescence song should sound.

I hope that the new Amy's album will be better than the previous one. She said that it'll be similar to "Origin", didn't she?

what's amy sister got to do with the open door advert? yes Bonnie was 3 when she died & Amy was 6 & no she didn't drown in the bath she had an unidentified illness, Hello was seeing death through the eyes of a child & like you is about wanting to die along with her sister so they could be together i think she said there will always be a place on each album for Bonnie which is awesome!

My Fave song is "Like you" The reason why Amy Lee made this song was because she was explaining how she felt when her baby sister died a few years ago. It's the same thing I felt when MY baby Brother died. The song talks about how she felt like she should've died and her sister should have been the one to live.

I tried to say that it is spelled "Lacrimosa" and not 'Lacrymosa" on some forums, btu didn't to prevent an arguement. Although you can spell it with a "Y." But it's pronounced Lack - cree - mosa. Lacrimosa is the Latin word for the english words "weeping" or "crying."

Er...I really hate to do this but I think that the strings and choir are actually a Mozart song and Amy only covered the rock bit. :'( I was kind of upset when I realized this. The song is called Lacrymosa, just like it is on the new Evanescence album.

And this is a reallyreally good cover because she completely switched up the mood of the original song which is a requiem for somebody that died...this sounds passionate and just overall amazing. And as an adjustification to my original comment: It's Mozart's Lacrimosa with an I, not a Y.

i love Lacrymosa. Mozart's Lacrimosa is used s a background but Amy's vocal lines are original. i usually don't like when people try to modernise classical music, but then again, i'm sure that was not the band's intention anyway.

btw, my favorite song on TOD is Your Star. It contains everything i love about evanescence: the piano, Amy's voice, the band, strings and choir

It was intentional that they used lacrymosa by mozart. Amy said so herself in an interview that it was always something she wanted to do. Make something awesome out of mozart's lacrymosa. Just to clear that up ^_^

Amy Lee is an amazing artist and i think Fallen wasn't the best she could have done just because it sounded so mainstream and not really the goth style she was trying to get at. and by seeing this small clip i can see she has grown immensly and has actually accomplished something thats original to the evanescence name. She has learned so much and it brings a tear to my eye to see her talents just shoot up like this. Im so proud of that girl.
